Why This Raging Obsession With Trump?

At first glance, the outrage over the recent release of William Barr's summary of the Mueller report is puzzling.

After all AG Barr did quote a critical portion of that report that was very clear about their finding no evidence of Russian Collusion with the Trump team. He also quoted a portion that made no determination on obstruction, leaving that up to William Barr, who said he didn't find enough evidence of that charge either.

There is STILL a hysterical hope among some that, "When the entire report is released, we'll see that William Barr was wrong. There is STILL a determined belief among some that, "We WILL get him (Trump)."

WHY?

Why do so many refuse to accept the results of this report?

It's NOT ideological. It's NOT based in an opposition to bad policies. The economy is booming and there's no substantial support for, even a more open border policy. If there was, the same people would've been outraged by the very strident, anti illegal immigration comments Chuck Schumer, Barack Obama and others have made over the past decade. There was no such outrage then, so it would seem to indicate the current "outrage" is not genuine.

So, it seems to be a personal dislike of Trump's contentious personality, fueled by the "team sports" political environment that exists today, but there's more...something fanciful, but insidious.

There seems a hope among Democrats and "Progressives" that impeaching Trump would end what they see as "America's Nationalist nightmare."

No chance.

9/11 infused a large segment of the American people with a renewed sense of patriotism and national pride. In most, that passion has NOT diminished.

Worse still, two protracted and costly wars that continued into even costlier and bloody rebuilding efforts, attempting to remake some Middle Eastern countries over in our image, eroded the faith of many Americans in the priorities of their establishment leadership.

Add to that, a government created sub-Prime mortgage crisis, in which BOTH political Parties got behind an effort to loosen traditional lending criteria by banks that required government guaranteeing those sub-Prime loans. The result was a massive mortgage meltdown and subsequent global financial crisis.

The result of this was a complete loss of faith in America's establishment. That's been borne out by the fact that not a single establishment politician has won the Presidency since 2004.

In 2008, an unknown, inexperienced Illinois State Senator, Barack Obama, who won a U.S. Senate seat via scandal, came out of nowhere to overtake establishment Democrat, Hillary Clinton, to go on to beat a hapless John McCain. President Obama held that office for two consecutive terms and in 2016, the early expectations were for a Jeb/Hillary showdown.
What happened?

First, the GOP base put 4 outsiders, Trump, Carson, Fiorina and Cruz ahead of every GOP establishment (GOPe) candidate.

The DNC then rigged their Primaries to make sure Hillary Clinton was corronated. That worked. Unfortunately for them, Hillary Clinton never had a cause, nor even a reason why she should've been elected President, EXCEPT "It's my turn."

2016 was supposed to have been "a return to normalcy," a return to establishment rule and an end to the Nationalism that was ascendant across the globe. After all, we'd just spent a decade and a half and trillions of dollars trying to put down the Nationalism that arose in the Arab-Muslim world in the form of its return to strict, Sharia-based Islam.

The next target was supposed to be the Euro Nationalism that had blossomed across that continent. Had Hillary been elected  the EU would've been bolstered and the hope was that Euro Nationalism would be put down.

Instead, Steve Bannon has been working with European leaders like Hungary's Viktor Orban, Austria's Sebastian Kurz and Poland's Andrzej Duda. In Brazil, a Leftist government failed and, as a result, the very Nationalist, pro free market Jair Bolsonaro has been elected there.

The hope among American Liberals and "Progressives" that "ending Trump should end this American Nationalism," is a false one.

It doesn't end. The same people who helped fund Trump here will continue providing financial and material support to Bolsonaro and the Euro Nationalists and there's nothing we can do about that.

I'd suggest "Abandoning all hope" of any "return" to America's once highly touted Anglo-American Globalism/One Worldism.

There's no turning back from the extreme and growing polarization gripping this country, so long as the Left insists on trying to revive a dead Globalism/One Worldism.

The Tenor of These Times

Here's a letter sent to Michael Goodwin of the NY Post.

It reflects about 50% of the popukation's views on the election of Donald Trump.

The political-media class hasn't been able to make the case for an Anglo-American Globalism that the rest of the world has roundly rejected.

In 2016, the American people voted in a political outsider to change things. They'd voted for change in 2008 and 2012, but never got it.

Now there IS change occurring, but that hasn't gone over well with the American political-media class and their masters - the global financial elite.

Here's that letter;

"We have always been taught, and many of us believed until now, that our frustrations with government can be adjudicated at the ballot box.

This Mueller investigation and the actions by the deep state and media prove that to be a lie.

“With a nullification of our vote, some of ‘we the people’ know we have lost not only our voice, but our constitutional rights and probably our country.”

(Carole Lompolo in a letter to the NY Post's Michael Goodwin)

I've always believed that any kind of utopia is impossible on earth, primarily because some people are just incorrigibly evil, some hopelessly dumb and some incredibly lazy. Those will always be with us, in one form, or another. Some will have to be carried, others will have to be punished.

Today, many of us have come to the conclusion that most of our political-media class falls into one, or more of those classifications.

Trump is a symptom of a disease within our political-media class. It is so bad, that they are not only "out-of-touch," but are all too often diametrically opposed to the will of the people. That hasn't given these dolts pause, as they arrogantly presume they're smarter than everyone else.

It is doubtful they can be reformed. It is far more likely that they need to be exposed and ultimately...destroyed.

Trump's an imperfect weapon in that cause, but he was the one that was available at the time.

The reason we have Trump today is a corrupt and inept GOPe that's abused, even laughed at its own base, an elitist and hopelessly out-of-touch DNC that uses "the poor" and "the children" as props for solely self-interested politicians and a monstrous Newsmedia that so habitually distorts, manipulates and omits, when "reporting" the days events, that the reality they offer has virtually no relation to that which actually exists.

They CANNOT be "saved." NONE of them.

This disease doesn't require some "reforms," it demands a complete overhaul.

Stage ONE is tearing down this disease-ridden edifice. THAT'S a very painful process.

WHY...er, HOW Trump Won

Image result for Donald Trump
POTUS Donald Trump

Contrary to popular mythology, Trump wasn’t voted in by an army of dummies.

It seemed that many diehard Trump supporters sensed their government no longer belonged to them, that the "American" media, which is overseen by the CIA on international stories and the FBI on domestic ones, was no longer an America media, that their country was dissolving before their eyes...AND they were RIGHT on all counts.

The REAL dummies are the dolts who STILL don’t see that!

A long time ago, even I personally thought globalism/One Worldism, with the ultimate goal of a much more unified world with a global currency, an international language (ie English for business), a unifying set of laws, etc. was a very sound idea.

Then I got to see who was supporting that and who was opposing it. By around 1990 over 30% of the global financial elite had come to question that model...and that number has grown steadily to where today, the two sides are nearly evenly split and the momentum for growth remains on the side of those who have now fully abandoned the globalist/One World model in favor of "Cooperative Nationalism."

Unless you're an international banker or a member of one of the appx 250 families comprising the global financial elite, YOU have no dog in this nasty and probably soon to be very bloody Nationalist/Globalist fight.

If you work for a living and ESPECIALLY if you have a public pension, your best interests are tied to Nationalism. America's very generous, by global standards, public pensions almost certainly disappear under the globalist/One World model.

Trump's election was an assault on a woefully inept and hideously corrupt political system. It was also a direct kick in the balls to our anti-Nationalist/anti-American Newsmedia...exposing how little influence they really have. It was a follow-up to BREXIT.

It was a declaration of war by the Nationalist faction of that global financial elite upon the globalist/One Worlder faction.

BREXIT didn't bubble up out of nowhere...and neither did Trump.

Trump's a SYMPTOM, of a much systemic global issue.

So YES, working folks, OUR best interests lie with the Nationalists.

I get the thinking, “That's NOT what Trump's base is all about,” but even if true, it doesn't really matter. WHO cares?

Working folks really have no truck with the Nationalists, because UNLESS you're running an international bank, or multinational conglomerate, globalism/One Worldism DOESN’T help you. In fact, especially if you hold, or will hold a public pension, it is VERY MUCH NOT in your best interests.

Talk about "acting against one’s own best interests"? That's what working and professional folks favoring any form of globalism are doing!

Here's the problem that continues to face the Democratic Party, a complete absence of introspection.

ONLY Hillary COULD'VE lost to Trump...only her, because she's just as obnoxious, even more corrupt, somehow even more unlikable than even Trump was. She blew it...by failing to campaign, relying on CNN's and MSNBC's flagging viewership to BE her campaign.

It WASN'T "angry white guys," or "folks that globalism has left behind" (that meme shows you just how much compassion they really have for the poor...NONE), but instead, it was angry young women who wouldn't vote for her...angry, alienated black voters who wouldn't vote period...and disaffected Bernie supporters who saw how the DNC rigged the Primaries.

She, in effect, blew a football game in which the other team fumbled the ball away in their own red zone a dozen times...THAT'S on her! I'm not sure which is worse, that Leftists (1) think Hillary should've won (UNLESS they slept through the entire campaign) because she was "the better choice" (she never made that case), or (2) the even more ridiculous belief that Bernie was popular BECAUSE of his "Socialist" message.

Bernie was ONLY "popular" because he WASN'T HER! His message was a fraud. He was thrown off a commune for failing to work. He and his wife have used a College as their own private piggy bank. He's a greedy uber-Capitalist...who uses "Socialist" rhetoric as a con.

UNTIL the Democrats do some serious soul searching, they're going to keep on putting up out-of-touch candidates and finding ways to lose.

The LIE That President Obama Was Stifled by GOP Opposition

Image result for Barack Superman

In his first two years Barack Obama had a Democratic House and Senate (http://wiredpen.com/resources/political-commentary-and-analysis/a-visual-guide-balance-of-power-congress-presidency/)...and all he got done was ramming through a very flawed healthcare Bill (the ACA).

Likewise, from 2003 to 2007, G W Bush had a Republican House and Senate...and got little done. He did hang Sarbanes-Oxley a ham-handed response to the 2001 financial scandals (Enron, Tyco, Adelphia, Arthur Andersen, etc. which resulted in the vaunted "Jobless Recovery."

Now, Trump will have at least 2 years with both Houses of Congress in GOP hands. Unfortunately for him, the establishment GOP reviles Trump even more than most Democrats...and for better reasons.

Arizona and South Carolina SHOULD do the rest of the nation a favor and get rid of John McCain, who disgraced himself and his Party in the 2008 election and Lindsay Graham, respectively. THAT would be a nice start.

Could Trump Govern?

Image result for Trump wins

This is an odd question considering that a majority of Americans prefer divided government.

How else can that be taken except as Americans wanting government to do LESS governing?

In Trump we’d get the ultimate in divided government, with BOTH the Democrats AND the GOPe aligned against him.

YES, Trump could easily undo the Obama Executive Orders with the stoke of a pen. He could probably even do a good deal to eradicate local monopolies for health insurers, ending the decades long practice of setting up competition-free zone for major health providers.

Changing our horrific tax system, used to reward “friends”/donors and punish political “enemies,” would be a much bigger deal, given that BOTH major Parties benefit from that corrupt system and severely limiting, let alone eliminating In-Sourcing cheap labor via H-1B Visas and ILLEGAL immigration would be even harder, given the hold this global corporate elite has over our fully OWNED political-media class.

STILL, given how out-of-touch BOTH major Parties are with the voters, Trump could be a “breath of fresh air, IF only he’d continue being the veritable “pox on both their houses.”

But Trump is an unlikely and very flawed champion of the working class and probably normally WOULDN’T be able to be taken seriously as that EXCEPT for the abusive way our political-media class has treated America’s working people.

The GOPe is chomping at the bit to “make a deal” with the Democrats over ILLEGAL immigration; the GOP allowing for the “Path to Citizenship” (Amnesty) in exchange for barring them, while non-citizens, from getting social services and voting...that would keep them from providing that cheap labor source that many business owners here covet.

Spoiler alert: The Dems DON’T want “the illegals” voting any time soon either. They know that most of the new immigrants are Catholics, who become reliably (socially) Conservative voters once established here.

BOTH major Parties have brought this upon themselves. They DESERVE Trump! They’ve EARNED true gridlock that would come from an anti-globalist who’d revel in throwing a monkey wrench into their globalist master’s plans.

Is Trump a potential savior?

Hardly likely.

His primary, if only appeal is that he’s “NOT one of them (the political-media class).” Right now, that might be enough. The GOPe desperately wants “their Party back.”

If Trump gets in, that doesn’t happen, at least not very easily.

And the DNC machine that lied to and screwed over Bernie Sanders voters will take a big hit as well. Not that Bernie didn’t show his true colors (lack of principle) in begging his supporters to close ranks around someone they distrust, someone they know is beholden to the global conglomerates, the Monsanto’s, the GE’s, etc.

THIS is indeed a unique election. Unfortunately, it’s also been a year-long Reality TV show, that’s made it seem more of a farce than political reality. BUT it is truly an election that actually fulfills the empty promise that Barack Obama made back in 2008 for real CHANGE!

For ANYONE opposed to the control of the global corporate “elite,” Trump, with ALL his faults, offers the only real hope of that. At worst, he’s a thumb in the eye of that global corporate “elite” and their paid employees in BOTH Parties and our national media.

Goofy Will Smith Doesn't Seem to Understand How Entitled and Privileged HIS Life Has Been

Image result for Will Smith radical

Lucky for Will Smith he turned out to be an actor born in an age of "White Guilt," which has translated into a national form of Segregation (remember, Jim Crow existed in just 9 states) called "Affirmative Action."

Now, Smith's a good actor, but he's been incredibly privileged...and entitled his entire life. Much the way Melissa Harris-Perry (the former MSNBC host and daughter of two College Professors) has been. Life's been incredibly sweet for the Harris-Perry's and the Smith's, but like most entitled people they don't seem to realize that they "were on born on 3rd base."

The irony is that these are the types of people who love to berate the GW Bush's and other white, rich & entitled folks for, "Being born on 3rd base, but thinking they hit a triple."

Yup...goes for y'all. EVERY ONE of you.

Will Smith's offending quote: "As painful as it is to hear Donald Trump talk and as embarrassing as it is as an American to hear him talk, I think it’s good,” the 47-year-old said. “We get to know who people are and now we get to cleanse it out of our country.”

Uhhhh Will? Come on out to the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Western Oregon, Washington, Montana and Wyoming), there's a ton of so-called "White Nationalists" out there that are far more "radical" than any Donald Trump. Millions of Americans hold extremist views Left & Right.

Don't get caught up in your characters Will, there's no script that has YOU and like-minded folks "cleansing America" of even the most radical elements.

I suppose my BIGGEST issue with dopes like Will Smith, Matt Damon and Sean Penn is that they make their money in the most capitalistic enterprise in America (the Entertainment Industry), yet they continually extol Marxist "socialism" that would leave such "useless eaters," as themselves penniless.

Worse yet, NOT a one of those goofballs would seem to recognize a Left-wing extremist if they fall over one, and yet THAT group has, to date, been the most violent (ALF, ELF, OWS, BLM, etc) and...extremist.

Go figure!

Hi Anti-Trumpers...and Buh-Bye!

Sad! Pathetic even!

The diehard "Never-Trump" movement skidded to a faltering halt last night (Thursday 7/14/16). "A long-shot, last-ditch attempt by a few Republican delegates to prevent Donald Trump from securing the GOP nomination failed by an overwhelming margin late Thursday night." (https://theconservativetreehouse.com/…/never-trump-campaig…/)

"Some anti-Trump delegates on the Republican National Convention Rules Committee sought a strategy to unbind convention delegates, allowing them to vote their conscience against Trump even if they were bound to him by primary results. Delegates loyal to Trump and the Republican National Committee fought back by proposing a counter-measure to clarify that all delegates are bound to vote based on the primary results.

"The votes came near the end of a marathon 14-hour session of the rules committee to set any changes ahead of next week’s convention to officially nominate Trump as the Republican presidential candidate. The first vote, on the pro-Trump measure to keep delegates bound, passed easily, 87 to 12..."

"...Kendal Unruh, a Colorado delegate who has led the efforts to unbind the delegates, offered her highly anticipated amendment. She gave a speech beforehand calling the ability to vote one’s conscience a “God-given right.”

“The right to conscience is not just something that we’ve decided is a cool idea. It’s something that is the very basis of our nation,” Unruh said. “It is why the pilgrims came here and founded our nation. It is a God-given right to why we have the Bill of Rights.”

"Immediately after that, however, Michigan delegate Matt Hall moved to end debate on the measure, and more than two-thirds of the committee, 77 to 21, voted to cut off all debate while some anti-Trump delegates, including Utah Sen. Mike Lee, were still waiting to speak on the matter.

"The committee then voted against Unruh’s amendment by voice vote, with the opposition so clear that a recorded vote was deemed unnecessary."

I hope that these folks choose to follow George Will's lead and leave the GOP. Maybe they could follow the leads of those who plan on leaving the U.S. "If Trump wins."

AGAIN, the reason we have the 2 remaining major Party candidates we do is because the Democrats rigged their system with "Super-Delegates" that never gave Bernie Sanders a real shot. That and because fewer Dems are sick of a government that has continuously let down Americans and especially American workers.

The GOPe TRIED to rig their system and thought it was rigged, but early on they didn't "get the hint." Even when the top 4 vote getters in their early Primaries were "political outsiders, Carson, Cruz, Fiorina and Trump. The GOPe proved none too swift on the uptake.

For those of either Party who want to vote NEITHER, there IS a viable 3rd option, Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate.

Not too sure how sound he is on anti-terror, or In-Sourcing cheap labor via "undocumented workers," and the abuse of the H-1B Visa system, but at least he's "NOT one of them."

Me, I'm probably pulling the lever for Trump, primarily because I revile politicians and our broken political system.
