You'd Almost Get the Feeling We're Not Really Getting Much "Bang for the Buck" From Our Gold-Plated Energy Regulation.....

>

Even worse than Congress’s recent NON-reforming “banking reform” bill, are its feckless and lame attempts at self-vindication over the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.

The energy industry is, like virtually ALL sectors of American industry, very highly and tightly regulated and at great cost to you and I. Estimates are that we spend well over $10 BILLION/year regulating energy in the U.S. The annual budget of the Bureau of Ocean Energy (BOE), formerly known as the Minerals Management Service (MMS) alone is $310 million (2009)...sure to go up after this debacle.

Think about THAT for just a second!

We're spending over $300 BILLION/year regulating offshore drilling alone.....and THIS is what we get?

What other entity gets rewarded (expanded in size and scope with a budget increase) for its failures?

ONLY government agencies.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, also known as the Bureau of Ocean Energy (BOE), and formerly known as the Minerals Management Service (MMS) – Annual Budget: $310 million (USD) in 2009...sure to go UP in 2011 and beyond.

The EPA has requested $10.020 BILLION (USD) for Fiscal Year 2011 in its discretionary budget authority.

And these are just some of the direct costs we pay for in the form of taxes. The “indirect costs” of this regulation are the REAL costs for you and I, as the preponderance of the weight of all these regulations is found in how much they raise the cost of all the energy we use daily.

Government’s taxes and the costs of complying with its regulations are merely a “cost of doing business” for the energy companies and so, those costs are ALL happily passed on to you and I in the form of higher energy prices.

OK, so even if you don’t want to quibble over the cost of energy, don’t you think we deserve a LOT more “bang for our buck?”

You mean to say that, “All we get for this doubling the price of a gallon of gasoline is this crumby oil slick in the Gulf?”

England to Obama: “Go Fu-...STUFF Yourself!”....

Turns out that just a few days ahead of this weekend’s G-20 Summit in Toronto, U.S. President Barack Obama sent word to the other G-8 leaders NOT to cut spending at this critical juncture.

This week, England’s new coalition government did exactly that, massively slashing spending; $16 BILLION from its welfare programs, freezing all government worker’s salaries for 2 years, even freezing the Queen’s budget. They also raised sales taxes, the Capital gains tax and levied new bank taxes.

In other words, Great Britain responded to President Obama’s missive with a perfunctory, “Thanks for those wonderful DVDs that didn’t play in our region, but all the same, go fu-...STUFF yourself!”

Canada, among others, appears to be heading in the very same direction England is. In fact, it appears that President Obama is the ONLY G-8 leader NOT on board with massive spending cuts!

How's that "restoring America's standing around the world," working out for ya?

32 y/o Swiss Punk to be Caned....Film at 11.......

File Under: We Should Only Have Such Sentences HERE!

A Swiss man’s been sentenced to five months in jail and three strokes of a cane for spray-painting graffiti on a train in Singapore.

The 32 year-old software consultant, Oliver Fricker admitted breaking into a depot and vandalizing a train.

The judge (See Kee Oon) called it a serious breach of security. The judge said Fricker's actions were “calculated criminal conduct,” adding, “He was fully conscious of the criminal nature of the act and must be prepared to face the consequences.”

Caning in Singapore involves being struck with a wooden stick (cane) on the back of the thigh, a punishment that can leave permanent scars. As you might expect, the fruits at Amnesty International have called the sentence barbaric.

Singapore authorities say they’re still hunting for a second man, UK national Lloyd Dane Alexander, who they believe took part in the spray-painting.

I’m sorry, BUT if you’re 32 years old and still spray painting trains and breaking into public facilities to vandalize them, you NEED a good ass-kicking. You're actions are practically begging for it!

Caning’s the least of these guy’s problems. In my view, the sentence should’ve been a caning, followed by a frontal lobotomy and THEN five months in jail AFTER the recuperation period.

Unintended Consequences....

Ah yes, as the calendar turns to Summer, we see the return of the “lightening bug,” the graceful flitter of the butterfly and yes, sad to say, the ugly specter of politicians helping out other politicians.

So THIS is a lesson for all those who’ve naively believed that “judges aren’t mere politicians.”

This clearly demonstrates the “Are too,” response quite well.

On Thursday, June 24th, the Supreme Court gutted one of the favorite tools of federal prosecutors' in the pursuit of corrupt politicians, thereby “doing a HUGE favor to fellow members of “the political class” (politicians), from the disgraced Rod Blagojevich (the Democratic Governor of Illinois) to the cash-freezing Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-La) to Joe Bruno, the disgraced former Republican State Senator of New York State.

Of course, the very SAME law has been the primary tool used to rein in a wide array of corporate cheaters, from super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff, to the likes of former Enron chief executive Jeffrey K. Skilling and disgraced newspaper magnate Conrad Black.

Since it was passed in 1988, the honest-services fraud law has been used in the prosecution of a wide array of fraud, “self-dealing,” and dishonest corporate and governmental action.

Defense lawyers have predicted a flood of litigation from those convicted under the law.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, writing for the court majority, said that upholding the law meant excluding the "amorphous category of cases" involving conflict of interest and self-dealing. The legislation, she said, "criminalizes only schemes to defraud that involve bribes or kickbacks."

All nine justices said prosecutors have stretched a federal statute so far that it makes it a crime to deprive the public or a company of the "intangible right of honest services."

Three justices (Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Anthony Kennedy) thought the statute was so vague as to be unconstitutional. But six said it could be saved by limiting its use to those involving bribes or kickbacks, not the self-dealing or conflict-of-interest schemes previously prosecuted.

In fact, Justice Scalia, writing in dissent went so far as to declare that the entire statute was so vague as to violate the Constitution's due-process clause.

Scalia admonished the court’s majority, claiming their "pose of judicial humility" in trying to preserve the statute by turning it into a prohibition of bribes and kickbacks is really just "wielding a power we long ago abjured - the power to define new federal crimes."

Come on! No high-minded phraseology? No legalistic poetry? Just, in effect, “There is no overriding legal authority,” on which to define “honest services.”

OUCH!

I guess it’s really true that “The only rules in politics is that there ain’t no rules.”

Think about it for a second, had the Supreme Court simply ruled on this matter a scant ten years ago, the Enron, Adelphia, Tyco and Arthur Anderson prosecutions, not to mention Martha Stewart’s case probably wouldn’t have moved forward...if they’d ruled on it 20 years ago perhaps Michael Milken wouldn’t have been convicted.

But HEY! How about that shiny, brand new “Get Outta Jail FREE Card” for all those corrupt politicians?!

“Victimless crimes...ahem...victimless crimes...cough, cough.”

UPDATE:

I can actually understand that the law may be too vague to applied to business, but government officials should still be held accountable for providing "honest services." After all, we ALL know how to define that for elected officials.

Canadian Police make 3rd Arrest Ahead of G-20 Conference....

My, oh my, those Left-wing gatherings really bring out the kooks, don’t they? And I mean the really gnarly, violent “violent kooks.”

Remember the MSM had to fabricate a story about “a man with a gun” attending a Tea Party event...turns out the “angry white man” in question, turned out to be an black off duty cop.

Not so with the arrests made ahead of the G-20 Summit coming up in Toronto this weekend.

Yesterday Canadian Police arrested a man near the G-20 summit site whose car contained a chainsaw, crossbow and fuel containers.

The 53-year-old man was pulled over just a block from where tall steel fences have been erected to protect leaders of the Group of 20 advanced and emerging economies who meet on Saturday and Sunday in Canada's most populous city.

According to Toronto Police, the man had “no reasonable explanation for the weapons” that were observed “in physical plain view.”

It was the third security-related arrest in recent days ahead of the G-20 and G-8 summits. Canada is spending over $1.3 billion USD on security, deploying thousands of police from across the country to protect two summit sites surrounded by steel fencing set in concrete.

Earlier this week, police arrested a man and his wife just north of Toronto on explosive and firearms charges.

Stem Cells Used to Reverse Blindness Caused by Burns.....

Italian researchers reported Wednesday that dozens of people who were blinded or otherwise suffered severe eye damage when they were splashed with caustic chemicals had their sight restored with transplants of their own stem cells! That’s an amazing success for the burgeoning stem cell-therapy field.

And NO (not a single) embryonic stem cells were used!

The treatment worked completely in 82 of 107 eyes and partially in 14 others, with benefits lasting up to a decade so far. One man whose eyes were severely damaged more than 60 years ago now has near-normal vision.

The study was published online by the New England Journal of Medicine. Researchers in Italy took a small number of stem cells from a patient's healthy eye, multiplied them in the lab and placed them into the burned eye, where they were able to grow new corneal tissue to replace what had been damaged. Since the stem cells are from their own bodies, the patients do not need to take anti-rejection drugs.

Adult stem cells have been used for decades to cure blood cancers such as leukemia and diseases like sickle cell anemia. But fixing a problem like damaged eyes is a relatively new use.

Our Own Worst Enemies....

One dictum goes, “In a democracy, the people get exactly the kind of government they’re willing to accept,” while another goes, “We’ve met the enemy and he is us.”

A similar, albeit more optimistic sentiment is expressed in this quote;
"Our Republic can survive Barack Obama, but it's less likely to survive the multitude of fools that made him their president" (Anonymous)

So, Just who are those fools?

Well, amidst the purported “good news,” in recent articles that trumpet the fact that a majority of middle class Americans see the Obama agenda as a wrong direction for America, a substantial number STILL seem to agree with that disastrous agenda, one often described as a “Jimmy Carter on Steroids” kind of agenda.

While that erosion of support is touted in articles like the one below, the fact remains that STILL, 46% of those earning between $24,000/year and $60,000/year think the Obama administration is “doing a good job.” 44% of those earning between $60,000/year and $90,000 year feel the same way.

So, while the erosion of support is welcome news, the numbers supporting an agenda that seeks to punish large industries, small businesses and high-earners (those who create virtually all new jobs) should be recognized as a very troubling one.

Middle Class Abandoning Obama

Tuesday, June 15, 2010
By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/67763

“Less than half of middle class Americans now believe that President Barack Obama is doing a good job, according to a new Gallup Poll.

“Among those earning from $24,000 to $59,988 a year, just 46 percent say they approve of the job Obama is doing, down from 51 percent in May and 66 percent in the week of his inauguration.

“Among Americans earning $60,000 to $89,988 a year, 44 percent approve of his job performance, down from 51 percent in May and 69 percent during inauguration week.

“The only income bracket in which a majority still approves of Obama’s job performance is those earning less than $24,000 a year — and only 52 percent of them approve.

“Overall, 46 percent of Americans told Gallup they approve of Obama’s job performance during the week of June 7-13, tying for the worst week of his presidency.”

So, yes, the middle class may be abandoning Obama, but hardly fast enough.

The Fatal Flaw of the “Cloward-Piven Strategy”

Much has been written about the vaunted “Cloward-Piven Strategy,” one where an economically socialist, politically fascist government will be foisted upon the USA by means of “overloading the entitlements system until a complete financial collapse occurs. That collapse is then used as proof that ‘Capitalism can’t work’ and presto chango...socialist utopia.”

As a cautionary note and not to put too fine a point on all this, but the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” (such as it is), is fatally flawed in both its underlying premise and its unrealistic expectations.

First, if such an overload were to result in a financial collapse, it would only prove that the regulated economy (the regulated market, Corporatism, or “Crony-Capitalism” that’s existed in the U.S. since 1912) DOESN’T WORK! Since it’s already been proven that “Socialism doesn’t work,” via the collapse of the USSR, China’s economic resurgence since abandoning the Command (government-run) economy and adopting a market-based one, this “overload collapse” would argue for a return to the bare-knuckles, anything-goes free market Capitalism the U.S. had from 1789 thru 1911...the economic system that responsible for America being transformed in that relatively short period into a global economic powerhouse.

So that’s the fatal flaw with the underlying premise.

The even more fatal flaw (if anything can be “more fatal” than “fatal,” is in its naïve expectations, best expressed in the well-worn phrase, “Kittens don’t fu*k cats.” An outcome best proven in both Russia post-1917 and Germany post-WW-I. In both cases the naïve utopianists (which in the budding USSR included the likes of Kerensky and Trotsky) were purged, expunged, liquidate...KILLED by the far more ruthless and LESS utopianist Josef Stalin.

In post-WW-I Germany, the same dynamic occurred, the naively utopianist German communists were eradicated by the far more ruthless and far less utopianist Adolph Hitler and his Leftist, National Socialists.

So, ironically enough, those who put their faith in this cock-eyed utopianist strategy, devised by two ivory towered pseudo-intellectuals, not only is its PREMISE (that a complete financial collapse generated by “overloading an entitlement system” will provide the “proof” that “Capitalism can’t work,”) wrong, but its expectation (that these meek, modern-day “philosopher-kings” will rise to “put things right”) is equally, if not even more horrifically wrong, as history shows that NEVER (never ever) do the meek (and especially the naively meek) inherit anything. They always and everywhere rightfully become the bridge that tyrants tread over.

In short, there is no pot of gold at the end of the Cloward-Piven rainbow, which is why the fact that STILL at this late date, over 40% of middle class Americans support the Obama agenda bodes very poorly for the future of this Republic.

Why is Arizona THE Target?....

So apparently the Obama administration really has decided to file suit against the new Arizona law aimed at deporting illegal immigrants. I wonder if Attorney General Eric Holder has gotten around to reading that Bill yet?

The Arizona state law exactly mirrors existing federal law. Moreover, existing federal laws cannot be left “unenforced” as some claim, as the act of not enforcing existing federal law is a crime on the part of the federal government.

The move to challenge this state law is a rare instance of the federal government forcefully intervening in a state’s affairs, but the real question is, “WHY Arizona?”

After all Missouri and Oklahoma have both taken tougher stands and taken them far earlier than Arizona did. And neither this administration, nor anyone in the Justice Department voiced any concerns over those statutes at all.

In 2007 Oklahoma passed HB 1804, which makes it a felony for anyone to transport or to "conceal, harbor, or shelter from detection any alien...knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that the alien has come to, entered, or remained in the United States in violation of law.”

The law also makes it illegal for businesses, governments and other organizations to issue identification cards to illegal immigrants, and it requires companies doing work for the state to verify their employees’ immigration status using a federal electronic system (E-Verify).

Ironically enough, the only part of that law being challenged is that last provision, and other employment measures.

Another Oklahoma state law (SB 1102) signed by the governor in May of 2009, requires that law enforcement collect DNA samples from illegal immigrants arrested for any crime.

Missouri has gone even further! In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the Official language of Missouri. Nearly 90% voting in favor! English became the official language for ALL governmental proceeding in Missouri. It also means no individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2008 a measure was passed that requires our Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be here illegally. It allows Missouri law enforcement officers to receive training to enforce federal immigration laws. The bill also makes clear that illegal immigrants will NOT have access to taxpayer’s benefits such as food stamps and health care through Missouri HealthNET.

In 2009 a measure was passed that ensures Missouri's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are here illegally. The law also requires all post-secondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States.

So while Arizona has made national news for its new law, other states have taken similar, and in some cases even more far-reaching measures that have not been challenged.

In the case of Missouri that state, in the words of Nita Jane Ayres, “has sent a clear message that illegal immigrants are NOT welcome in our state and they are certainly NOT welcome to receive public benefits at the cost of Missouri taxpayers!”

So what’s the Obama administration’s problem with the Arizona law again?

THIS is How Angry America's Voters Are at the “Political Class”....

In South Carolina, Democratic voters shocked the Party by putting an unemployed, former military vet, who’d raised no money and is facing a felony rap for sending pornography to an 18 y/o University of South Carolina student.

Wow! They must really be mad...

“Greene, 32, an unemployed military veteran from Manning who raised no campaign funds and was unknown to Democratic officials even in his home town, won the primary over Rawl, a former judge and state lawmaker from Charleston, with nearly 60 percent of the vote.

“The S.C. Democratic Party called on Greene to withdraw as the nominee-elect the following day, after it was reported that Greene was facing a felony obscenity charge stemming from an arrest in November for allegedly showing pornography to an 18-year-old University of South Carolina student in a computer lab at the school.”

http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010/jun/12/greene-certified-as-winner/

One voter questioned by the Charleston Post and Courier, Debbie Harper of West Ashley said, “I wanted someone fresh and because I didn't want another attorney in there," she said, explaining why she voted for Greene last week over the favored candidate Vic Rawl. Debbie Harper added, "I don't think he's (Greene) any worse or better than the rest of them..."

I think a LOT of Americans share that exact assessment of the current political class.

Yet Another Major Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives

America's Original RIGHT

  Today's LEFT

Conservatives seem to know that business and government have been increasingly intertwined over the last century and they almost universally recognize that as a very bad thing. The “political economy” (Corporatism or “Crony Capitalism”) is NOT the free and open market of Capitalism at all. It is nearly as far from economic LIBERTY/freedom as the Command (government-run) Economy is.

Moreover, both the corporately owned media and government subsidized education complex are, and have long been both overwhelmingly and unabashedly pro-BIG-government and anti-individualism and personal LIBERTY.

The Tea Party movement is a grassroots response to the Keynesian (pro-BIG-government Moderate Republicans) seeking to steer that Party’s agenda Center-Left. It began shortly after the 2008 election, when the Keynesian Moderates were able to steer one of their own (John McCain) into the role of the GOP’s standard bearer.

Only with the White House’s very recent support of Blanche Lincoln (D-AK) have some Liberals begun howling at the Democratic establishment for seeking to steer that Party’s agenda Center-Left instead of far-left.

The more prescient and engaged Conservative Americans saw the abuse within their own primary Party before the less engaged, and frankly less intelligent Leftists/“Liberals” saw the same within theirs. For the Obama administration had been steadily working AGAINST the interests and agenda of the far-Left fringe (less than 5% of the nation) that calls themselves “his base.”

These Leftists STILL don’t understand the deep connection between business and government and STILL don’t understand why elected Liberal Dems have to “play ball” with big business interests ahead of any “far-Left agenda.”

I know that none of this is all that surprising, given that the Left has always been a little slow on the uptake.

Newsvine’s/MSNBC’s Online Poll on Arizona’s ILLEGAL Immigration Law Shows Overwhelming Support

With nearly 1.2 million votes, a whopping 96% of those who answered Newsvine's Online Poll supported the Arizona ILLEGAL Immigration Law, which precisely mirrors the federal law that's been on the book AND enforced for over 70 years!

The one question poll asks simply;

Do you support Arizona's tough new law on illegal immigration?

http://world-news.newsvine.com/_question/2010/05/13/4274124-do-you-support-arizonas-tough-new-law-on-illegal-immigration

In July, Arizona will begin enforcing a new law that requires law enforcement officers to check someone’s immigration status if they have reason to suspect that he or she is in the country illegally. Do you think this is a good idea?

The Ultimate Irony is That Barrack Obama (the Most Liberal POTUS in Three Decades) is Presiding Over The Death of the West’s Social Welfare Society...

As Frank Drebbin (the character from The Naked Gun flicks) was fond of saying, “Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.”

And one of those times is NOW.

In 2008 America’s Left thought they’d put one over on the American people. A war-weary America, outraged by a mortgage meltdown they rightly saw as “government-made,” ousted the ruling Party – the Republicans and elected a fresh-faced “political outsider,” who ran as Reagan (tax cuts, reducing the Deficit and, of course, ending two incredibly costly wars), but whose associations belied a far more leftist tilt.

The irony is that after 8 long years of reckless and irresponsible spending - and not just war spending, G W Bush spent more (even adjusted for inflation) on social spending than LBJ did – there wasn’t much left to spend.

But the Obama administration didn’t assess that fact accurately...I know, how could they miss THAT?!

In the space of 18 months, the Obama administration spent more than half of what the Bush administration spent in eight! In the process they’ve driven the National Debt from 63% of GDP to over 85% of GDP!

This hasn’t gone unnoticed. Recently the great Robert Samuelson wrote, “What we're seeing in Greece is the death spiral of the welfare state. This isn't Greece's problem alone, and that's why its crisis has rattled global stock markets and threatens economic recovery. Virtually every advanced nation, including the United States, faces the same prospect. Aging populations have been promised huge health and retirement benefits, which countries haven't fully covered with taxes. The reckoning has arrived in Greece, but it awaits most wealthy societies.

“Americans dislike the term "welfare state" and substitute the bland word "entitlements." Vocabulary doesn't alter the reality. Countries cannot overspend and overborrow forever.”

Robert Samuelson is absolutely correct, and America’s eschewing the word “welfare,” opting for the cheerier “entitlements” only makes our deeply systemic problem harder for us to see.

Mr. Samuelson notes, “Countries everywhere already have high budget deficits, aggravated by the recession. Greece is exceptional only by degree.”

And that is, without question very true. We see it right here in the northeast where government worker’s Unions are fighting a Governor who is facing a revenue shortfall that cannot be fixed with new taxes. That state’s Municipal pensions are woefully under-funded...so much so that it’s unlikely they can ever be brought up to even. Still, like in Greece, New Jersey’s state workers demand their neighbors be saddled with higher property taxes, that sales taxes be hiked, that income taxes be raised “on the rich” (those who earn more, because their skills are more valuable)...ANYTHING but cutting their salaries and benefits.

What’s worse is that there are no easy solutions and no way out of the state we’re in that isn’t going to be hideously painful for many of us.

Again, according to Samuelson’s observations, “The welfare state's death spiral is this: Almost anything governments might do with their budgets threatens to make matters worse by slowing the economy or triggering a recession. By allowing deficits to balloon, they risk a financial crisis as investors one day - no one knows when - doubt governments' ability to service their debts and, as with Greece, refuse to lend except at exorbitant rates. Cutting welfare benefits or raising taxes all would, at least temporarily, weaken the economy. Perversely, that would make paying the remaining benefits harder.

Greece illustrates the bind. To gain loans from other European countries and the International Monetary Fund, it embraced budget austerity. Average pension benefits will be cut 11 percent; wages for government workers will be cut 14 percent; the basic rate for the value-added tax will rise from 21 percent to 23 percent. These measures will plunge Greece into a deep recession. In 2009, unemployment was about 9 percent; some economists expect it to peak near 19 percent.”

Can such draconian “remedies” be applied here and throughout the West?

There may actually be no way to avoid this. Imagine pension buy-outs for Municipal workers the way Ford and GM bought out their pensioners...for pennies on the dollar.

Think it can’t happen to government workers?

Who do you think set up that out for Ford and GM?

Hint: It was the government.

Worse still is that since practically the entire West is facing the same predicament, there’s no cooperative way out...no way for a “group bailout,” and the idea that “China won’t allow the Euro and the Dollar implode is wishful thinking. China certainly sees the long-term advantage in taking some short-term pain.

Again, Samuelson sees this as well, “If only a few countries faced these problems, the solution would be easy. Unlucky countries would trim budgets and resume growth by exporting to healthier nations. But developed countries represent about half the world economy; most have overcommitted welfare states. They might defuse the dangers by gradually trimming future benefits in a way that reassures financial markets. In practice, they haven't done that; indeed, President Obama's health program expands benefits. What happens if all these countries are thrust into Greece's situation? One answer - another worldwide economic collapse.”

No one among the political class wants to take any hard steps. They believe that an unrealistic public won’t accept that and they’ll pay with their own sinecures.

What the political class seems to fail to understand is that THEY’RE the ones who’ve encouraged and stoked the public’s unrealistic viewpoint. Our elected officials have acted devoid of reality for so long, that the people believe that “reality has changed.”

It hasn’t...and the piper will eventually have to be paid. Not too far down the road, Greece’s current unrest may seem quite tame by comparison.

David Horowitz on Political Islam....

David Horowitz is one American who fully understands both the self-contradiction and the seething, inherent bigotry against non-Muslims. This quote pretty much sums up the essence of the Muslim mind;

“In fact, radical Muslims hardly need facts to stoke their hatreds, let alone distorted perceptions of American policy... Muslim hatred of America is as rational as Muslim hatred of Jews.

"In the last twenty-five years, no one has killed more Muslims than Saddam Hussein. Yet, only two of 57 Muslim states lined up against him. In the same interval, no nation in the world has saved more Muslim lives than the United States (Afghanistan, Somalia, Kosovo and Kurdish Iraq); yet only 2 of 57 Muslim states recognized the debt enough to support America's war effort.

“The Arab world in particular is a collection of medieval theocracies and fascist regimes, who supported first Hitler and then the Communist empire.

“Its culture is xenophobic and its media is effectively controlled by the state.”
