Hi Anti-Trumpers...and Buh-Bye!

Sad! Pathetic even!

The diehard "Never-Trump" movement skidded to a faltering halt last night (Thursday 7/14/16). "A long-shot, last-ditch attempt by a few Republican delegates to prevent Donald Trump from securing the GOP nomination failed by an overwhelming margin late Thursday night." (https://theconservativetreehouse.com/…/never-trump-campaig…/)

"Some anti-Trump delegates on the Republican National Convention Rules Committee sought a strategy to unbind convention delegates, allowing them to vote their conscience against Trump even if they were bound to him by primary results. Delegates loyal to Trump and the Republican National Committee fought back by proposing a counter-measure to clarify that all delegates are bound to vote based on the primary results.

"The votes came near the end of a marathon 14-hour session of the rules committee to set any changes ahead of next week’s convention to officially nominate Trump as the Republican presidential candidate. The first vote, on the pro-Trump measure to keep delegates bound, passed easily, 87 to 12..."

"...Kendal Unruh, a Colorado delegate who has led the efforts to unbind the delegates, offered her highly anticipated amendment. She gave a speech beforehand calling the ability to vote one’s conscience a “God-given right.”

“The right to conscience is not just something that we’ve decided is a cool idea. It’s something that is the very basis of our nation,” Unruh said. “It is why the pilgrims came here and founded our nation. It is a God-given right to why we have the Bill of Rights.”

"Immediately after that, however, Michigan delegate Matt Hall moved to end debate on the measure, and more than two-thirds of the committee, 77 to 21, voted to cut off all debate while some anti-Trump delegates, including Utah Sen. Mike Lee, were still waiting to speak on the matter.

"The committee then voted against Unruh’s amendment by voice vote, with the opposition so clear that a recorded vote was deemed unnecessary."

I hope that these folks choose to follow George Will's lead and leave the GOP. Maybe they could follow the leads of those who plan on leaving the U.S. "If Trump wins."

AGAIN, the reason we have the 2 remaining major Party candidates we do is because the Democrats rigged their system with "Super-Delegates" that never gave Bernie Sanders a real shot. That and because fewer Dems are sick of a government that has continuously let down Americans and especially American workers.

The GOPe TRIED to rig their system and thought it was rigged, but early on they didn't "get the hint." Even when the top 4 vote getters in their early Primaries were "political outsiders, Carson, Cruz, Fiorina and Trump. The GOPe proved none too swift on the uptake.

For those of either Party who want to vote NEITHER, there IS a viable 3rd option, Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate.

Not too sure how sound he is on anti-terror, or In-Sourcing cheap labor via "undocumented workers," and the abuse of the H-1B Visa system, but at least he's "NOT one of them."

Me, I'm probably pulling the lever for Trump, primarily because I revile politicians and our broken political system.

A Heart-Warming Story

"Rapper Hears White Cop’s Been in Black Neighborhood, Sets Up Shocking Surprise" (http://conservativetribune.com/rapper-hears-white-cops-be…/…)

Jayceon Terrell Taylor, a rap star better known as “The Game,” has launched a GoFundMe page on behalf of a white police officer named Tommy Norman, from Arkansas known for going out of his way to help kids in the predominantly black neighborhood in which he works.

According to news reports, The Game launched the page with his eldest son, Harlem, who proposed the idea after a conversation about “good cops and bad cops.”

“He did his research & found officer @tnorman23‘s page & I was touched by how active he is in the black community where he polices,” the rapper wrote on Instagram, adding that the goal of the GoFundMe page was to provide Norman with money to purchase “goodies” for him to pass out to needy citizens.

Despite the media's focus on division and divisiveness, there are a lot of good people on all sides trying to make hings better on a small/local scale....something we can all look to do, in our own ways.

An Open Letter From Technology Sector Leaders on Donald Trump’s Candidacy for President.....AND My Response

Image result for Tech

In this "Open Letter," (https://shift.newco.co/an-open-letter-from-technology-sector-leaders-on-donald-trumps-candidacy-for-president-5bf734c159e4#.ixmhkhnbk) a collection of Tech insiders write; "We are inventors, entrepreneurs, engineers, investors, researchers, and business leaders working in the technology sector. We are proud that American innovation is the envy of the world, a source of widely-shared prosperity, and a hallmark of our global leadership.

"We believe in an inclusive country that fosters opportunity, creativity and a level playing field. Donald Trump does not. He campaigns on anger, bigotry, fear of new ideas and new people, and a fundamental belief that America is weak and in decline. We have listened to Donald Trump over the past year and we have concluded: Trump would be a disaster for innovation. His vision stands against the open exchange of ideas, free movement of people, and productive engagement with the outside world that is critical to our economy — and that provide the foundation for innovation and growth...

"...We stand against Donald Trump’s divisive candidacy and want a candidate who embraces the ideals that built America’s technology industry: freedom of expression, openness to newcomers, equality of opportunity , public investments in research and infrastructure, and respect for the rule of law. We embrace an optimistic vision for a more inclusive country, where American innovation continues to fuel opportunity, prosperity and leadership."

.
.

To that, I retort, America is STILL trying to find that “level playing field.” While more than 3/4s of Americans oppose our existing segregation, the segregated standards of race/gender - based preferences, that fight is STILL being fought.

The U.S. government has failed the bulk of the American people — it’s workers. While every politician panders against “Out-Sourcing,” most economists argue that those jobs that can now be done by low-wage workers offshore, all of that misses the primary moral dilemma surrounding that, which is that those who’ve benefited most from Out-Sourcing (over 90% of the opportunities and profits generated by Out-Sourcing has gone to < 3% of Americans, business owners). Fact is, that morally those profiteers should be held accountable for educating and retraining all those displaced American workers...and NOT via taxes. GE, Ford, Apple, etc. should have to directly retrain those workers.

IF that would make Out-Sourcing cost-prohibitive, then that should’ve been factored into the original costs. That would be a bad decision made by the Corporations.

But worse than Out-Sourcing is In-Sourcing (bringing in cheap foreign labor, either via undocumented migrant workers, or, more prevalently by the abuse of H-1B Visas, mostly by our vaunted tech industry. H-1B Visas SHOULDN’T exist. IF they didn’t, America’s Tech firms would have to do right by America and American workers.

These companies (Apple, MS, Sun and others) have lobbied this government to work AGAINST the best interests of America and American workers and take responsibility for training and retraining its workforce.

Donald Trump is not seen as any kind of “American savior.” He’s just not “one of them,” one of those who’ve sold out American workers. Donald Trump is a “Thumb in the eye” to a broken and correct system.

For tech industry insiders to oppose Donald Trump is expected. They want to continue going on abusing American workers and replacing American workers with cheaper foreign workers. There’s a word for such people used among workers…it’s SCUMBAGS.

Anyone on the above list that hasn’t opposed segregated standards (“preferences”), our convoluted tax system, our horrific trade deals and anti-worker domestic policies are either, “Too late to the Party,” or one of the anti-worker villains in all this.

Tech, like the rest of American industry must do better by America and better by American workers. We can start by ending the naive idea of a unified world in which we’re all “citizens of the world.” Lose it, trash it, flame it. France, hell ALL of Europe has proven that idea a miserable FAILURE.
.

Moreover, that view stands against the idea of America, of Switzerland, of Nigeria, of Russia, of the Philippines, etc. and the idea of the unique heritage and cultural diversity of the people of the world. It stands AGAINST the very things that make us each unique and interestingly diverse individuals.

A Troubling Story Out of North Carolina...

The header reads: "North Carolina Deputies Harassed, Served Tampered Food at Fast Food Restaurant." (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/…/north-carolina-deputies-…/)

The story recounts how two North Carolina deputies were allegedly taunted and served tampered food at a Zaxby’s restaurant employees in North Carolina.

Their Captain Joel Shores said the police force reached out to the restaurant.

A local News affiliate WNCN reported:
"The sheriff of Cleveland County says his deputies were taunted by employees and served tampered food at a fast food restaurant while taking a lunch break in their uniforms.

"Sheriff Alan Norman confirmed the accusations to WBTV after a post was made online by the wife of a deputy.

“As they walked up to place their orders, the boys in the back cooking the food started yelling at them and calling them names,” she wrote about her husband’s trip to the Zaxby’s restaurant in Shelby.

She said her husband and his partner, who were both on duty and in their uniform, ignored the insults and continued ordering.

“Then, as they sat down to eat their food, my husband realized [they] had put the hottest sauce possible on [his] wings – to the point where his food wasn’t even fit to eat,” she continued."

VERY troubling...

The WAR Against Freedom of Expression Continues....

Image result for Joshua Nash dangerous faggot

On Wednesday, July 6th, Purdue University summoned Joshua Nash to meet with the Director of Student Assistance in regards to a “comment on Facebook.” Nash reportedly believes this meeting is due to a post in which he said that “Black Lives Matter is trash because they do not really care about black lives. They simply care about making money and disrupting events for dead people.” (http://heatst.com/…/university-student-who-criticized-blac…/)

College campuses have been hotbeds of censorship and repression since so few idealists can actually make actual arguments for their causes.

THAT'S a problem.

Horrific....

I saw this sad article about a mother who killed her infant son, because she, "Just didn't want him any more," linked to an anti-abortion message, but THIS ain't abortion....it's infanticide. (http://www.lifenews.com/…/mom-who-killed-her-11-month-old-…/)

Look, I support abortion-on-demand, at least through the 20th week, when a child can survive outside the womb.

I KNOW lots of people disagree with that...and I respect that. We're all entitled to our own opinions/views.

Here's why I support abortion in a nutshell....I'd rather NOT see a young mired unable to finish school, pursue a promising career and wind up mired in poverty and dysfunction because some guy won't shoulder HIS share of the responsibilities.

I'd rather see a fetus aborted than a child consigned to poverty, dysfunction, abuse and neglect.

THIS woman (Nicole Kelly) precisely proves my point.

WHY Do Politicians Make Such Outlandish Statements?

Image result for gun and book

At the Police Memorials in Dallas yesterday, one of the whoppers that President Barack Obama laid on the folks was, "There's something wrong when it's easier for a child to get a gun than a computer, or even a book."

Uhhhhh....NO!

That is patently false. Just as was the popularized, "There are more black men in prison than in College."

FACTS matter. These weren't impulsive, "Off the cuff" comments. These were well coiffed, deliberately penned, almost certainly WRITTEN FOR the President.

If it was a "Fact Checking" problem, than the charge is incompetence, if it was something else...then it was the most vile incendiary racial demagoguery.

Reckless and irresponsible statements like these serve only to incite and to undermine reasonable discourse. These are the very kind of statements that encourage those who are violently inclined.

So, WHY do politicians continue to make such outlandish and foolish statements.

WHY Can't Leftists Help Themselves?

Image result for Ginsburg Trump

This week, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg chose to deliberately politicize the Supreme Court.

In taking on Presidential candidate Donald Trump, she not only pulled away any pretense of that court's political impartiality, she also pretty much made it imperative that she recuse herself should any action involving Trump come before Court down the line.

I'm hardly surprised any more when I see some Left-wing politician assail the Constitutional principles that made America great.

What's more, it shows that Justice Ginsburg is a committed Leftist, who puts her far-Left socialist principles above our free market/property rights-based Constitution.

Such people are dangerous precisely because they ignore the facts (like multiculturalism's utter FAILURE in Europe) and they ignore the facts because, simply put, they can't do the math.

Worse still, her abuse of her office was most likely all for naught. At this point the American electorate is so polarized, that there's little anyone can do to sway those committed to the other side. What we have are probably best described as, visceral ideologies, that is, ideologies that need no words to be understood and identified by proponents.

Consider that among Independents, Hillary Clinton is now running 3rd behind Trump & the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson. This is a "Brexit Election."

That probably won't change, so WHY would Ruth Bader Ginsburg compromise the Court?

Because like most Leftists, she can't help herself.
