Whooops! He DID It....Again!

Maybe Donald Trump really is is a superhero! He seems to have the power to offend, even drive Leftists/"progressives" insane by merely opening his mouth.

Yesterday's "offense" was saying, "Wouldn't it be great, the next time one of these athletes takes a knee during the Anthem that one of the owners says, 'Get outta here, you're fired! Wouldn't that be great?"

Well, a LOT of people would see that as "great."

Many others wouldn't.

Some Americans are appalled, mostly because they don't really understand the 1st Amendment. That's kind of sad, them being Americans and all, but it says far more about the sad state of education in our country, than anything else.

The 1st Amendment ONLY protects us from government censure, that's the government outlawing any specific speech.

Radio hosts have (rightly) been fired for views an outlet worries "reflect badly on the station."

Hell, Atlanta Braves pitcher John Rocker was fired over telling the truth about NYC's sordid #7 subway line.

It's NOT OK for any of us to condone views we agree with and support condemning and sanctioning those we don't like.

The 1st Amendment was specifically put in place to protect unpopular, controversial, offensive speech; That of Communists, Nazis, KKKers & Black Panthers alike...from government action.

Trump's a bombastic guy, by design. It's worked for him. He says what lots of people feel and he validates those views by often putting them across directly, even crudely.

In this case, he DID NOT even threaten any government action. He speculated, "Wouldn't it be great IF..."

That was speculation/personal opinion, NOT a threat of any government action, nor even a suggestion. IF any POTUS threatened to force an industry to fire workers for their views, THAT would violate the 1st Amendment. This opinion does not.

YES, however, a company CAN choose to fire a member of NAMBLA (a pro pedophile group), a Nazi, or a black panther, if that status is public, or known, for "Representing that company in a damaging light." Such views hamper commerce and misrepresent a company.

Police, firefighters, teachers and most other workers (private & public) CANNOT protest, or make political statements at work...and rightly so. Doing so misrepresents the non-partisan nature of the Municipalities &/or companies they represent.

In my view, professional athletes should be held to THAT same standard. Off duty, or in their personal lives, they can champion any cause they wish. On the field, they're paid to work...like the rest of us.

HOWEVER, the NFL, which has fined Marshon Lynch for wearing a non-NFL approved cap during Super Bowl week interviews a few years back, banned flag decals and 9/11 decals, etc seems to have no problem with these workplace protests, so fans SHOULD BE mad at the NFL primarily.

It's also untrue, as some have suggested, that filing a complaint against a criminal act (ie. harassment, etc) in the workplace, is "the same as" protesting a social issue.

No, they're two very different things.

A company has a right to demand its workers represent it in the exact way that they want, INCLUDING refraining from getting into political/religious dialogue with clients.

The 1st Amendment protects us from government sanction, but companies can fire "at will" (which is all who aren't Civil Service protected) employees for ANY reason, or no reason at all.

So a person who fervently believes that age of consent laws are arbitrary and capricious and supports what we call pedophilia, can be fired "merely for verbally, or in writing, standing up for what they believe in."

A company is within their rights NOT to want to be associated with such controversy. They could...and I assure you, most WOULD do the same with a skinhead/KKKer, or a Black Panther, as well.

The 1st Amendment doesn't protect people from the legitimate consequences of such views....EXCEPT from government overtly criminalizing such views.

That's all the protections the 1st Amendment gives us.

Skepticism is Good...Very, VERY GOOD!

I've always taken issue with those nitwits who say things like, "I don't have to understand the science behind XYZ, the experts agree...or the scientific consensus is..."

THAT is every bit as much faith-based thinking as, "I don't know all the details about heaven and hell and what gets you into either place, but this Church..or Pastors agree..."

Yup, if you "can't do the math," you're pretty much taking everything on faith.

Uhhhh....that's NEVER a good thing.

Anthropogenic Climate Change is actually STILL being hotly debated among "experts," although many of the "experts" are NOT Climatologists, or even Meteorologists.

So are; Physicist Freeman Dyson, who has been a giant in his field for decades. But the British-born, Princeton-based professor has gained notoriety for his "heretical" views on climate change.

Bjorn Lomborg is a Danish-based scientist, famous for his book The Skeptical Environmentalist. Like Dyson, he's not an outright denier, but rather he thinks the current approach to global warming is misguided and that the costs of drastic, short-term action are too high. Instead, he thinks we should focus on becoming more adaptable, while putting more effort into such real-world tragedies as AIDS and malaria.

Japanese scientist Kiminori Itoh is the author of Lies and Traps in the Global Warming Affair. Like many others, Itoh does not reject the notion of global warming entirely, but instead claims that the causes are far more complex than the anti-carbon crowd would have you believe. 

Ivar Giaever, a Nobel Prize winner in physics, isn't a thought leader, per se, in the climate skeptics scene - but the mere fact that he has come out as being a skeptic and has a Nobel Prize makes him important. His big beef is that climate change orthodoxy has become a "new religion" for scientists, and that the data isn't nearly as compelling as it should be to get this kind of conformity.

Will Happer is another, highly-respected physicist out of Princeton who compares the anti-CO2 crowd to the prohibitionists prior to the passage of the 18th Amendment. While he does acknowledge long-term warming, he thinks the influence of CO2 is vastly overstated, and that the benefits of a modest reduction in it will be negligible.

In testimony  Congress, he used the following analogy what he means:

The earth's climate really is strongly affected by the greenhouse effect, although the physics is not the same as that which makes real, glassed-in greenhouses work. Without greenhouse warming, the earth would be much too cold to sustain its current abundance of life. However, at least 90% of greenhouse warming is due to water vapor and clouds. Carbon dioxide is a bit player. There is little argument in the scientific community that a direct effect of doubling the CO2 concentration will be a small increase of the earth's temperature - on the order of one degree. Additional increments of CO2 will cause relatively less direct warming because we already have so much CO2 in the atmosphere that it has blocked most of the infrared radiation that it can. It is like putting an additional ski hat on your head when you already have a nice warm one below it, but your are only wearing a windbreaker. To really get warmer, you need to add a warmer jacket. The IPCC thinks that this extra jacket is water vapor and clouds.

Australian professor Ian Plimer is the author of Heaven + Earth, a book that purports to debunk all of the major global warming "myths." Here's the blurb for his book, laying out his general beliefs:

When plate tectonics ceases and the world runs out of new rocks, there will be a tipping point and irreversible climate change. Don’t wait up.

Alan Carlin is an EPA economist who wrote a paper calling global warming a "hoax." It's not really important what he said or what he believed or even whether his argument makes any sense at all. What's important is that he's become a right-wing celebrity over the belief that he was censored by the EPA for being a heretic.

Point being, IF you’re basing your view on “experts,” then YOU (a non-expert) don’t get to choose what experts to believe (that would be faith-based belief), nor to decide that “majority rules,” as that too is “Faith-based belief.” That’s NOT how science works.

BUT the issue really isn’t who believes in “experts” or not (believing in chosen scientific “experts” is NOT the same as “believing in science,” that you don’t understand), it’s that NO ONE actually believes in “experts” at all.

Picking and choosing “experts” based on their favoring your preconceived beliefs is...yup...faith-based belief.

Moreover, IF those so invested in anthropogenic climate change really believed in “experts,” there’d be no “atheists,” self-proclaimed, or otherwise, among them. AS virtually ALL the “experts” on religion, those folks who’ve gone to Divinity School believe there is some sort of anthropomorphic “God.”

You CAN’T choose to be a skeptic on some issues despite what the accepted “experts” think, then rely totally on “experts” when it comes to science that you don’t remotely comprehend, without being a faith-based believer, instead of a “free thinker.”

What I’ve observed for a long time now, appears to be self-evidently true, that most people who leave religion simply substitute abother faith-based belief system (another religion) for their old one.

Contrary to popular mythology, Trump wasn’t voted in by an army of dummies.

It seemed that many diehard Trump supporters sensed their government no longer belonged to them, that the "American" media, which is overseen by the CIA on international stories and the FBI on domestic ones, was no longer an America media, that their country was dissolving before their eyes...AND they were RIGHT on all counts.

The REAL dummies are the dolts who STILL don’t see that!

A long time ago, even I personally thought globalism/One Worldism, with the ultimate goal of a much more unified world with a global currency, an international language (ie English for business), a unifying set of laws, etc. was a very sound idea.

Then I got to see who was supporting that and who was opposing it. By around 1990 over 30% of the global financial elite had come to question that model...and that number has grown steadily to where today, the two sides are nearly evenly split and the momentum for growth remains on the side of those who have now fully abandoned the globalist/One World model in favor of "Cooperative Nationalism."

Unless you're an international banker or a member of one of the appx 250 families comprising the global financial elite, YOU have no dog in this nasty and probably soon to be very bloody Nationalist/Globalist fight.

If you work for a living and ESPECIALLY if you have a public pension, your best interests are tied to Nationalism. America's very generous, by global standards, public pensions almost certainly disappear under the globalist/One World model.

Trump's election was an assault on a woefully inept and hideously corrupt political system. It was also a direct kick in the balls to our anti-Nationalist/anti-American Newsmedia...exposing how little influence they really have. It was a follow-up to BREXIT.

It was a declaration of war by the Nationalist faction of that global financial elite upon the globalist/One Worlder faction.

BREXIT didn't bubble up out of nowhere...and neither did Trump.

Trump's a SYMPTOM, of a much systemic global issue.

So YES, working folks, OUR best interests lie with the Nationalists.

I get the thinking, “That's NOT what Trump's base is all about,” but even if true, it doesn't really matter. WHO cares?

Working folks really have no truck with the Nationalists, because UNLESS you're running an international bank, or multinational conglomerate, globalism/One Worldism DOESN’T help you. In fact, especially if you hold, or will hold a public pension, it is VERY MUCH NOT in your best interests.

Talk about "acting against one’s own best interests"? That's what working and professional folks favoring any form of globalism are doing!

Here's the problem that continues to face the Democratic Party, a complete absence of introspection.

ONLY Hillary COULD'VE lost to Trump...only her, because she's just as obnoxious, even more corrupt, somehow even more unlikable than even Trump was. She blew it...by failing to campaign, relying on CNN's and MSNBC's flagging viewership to BE her campaign.

It WASN'T "angry white guys," or "folks that globalism has left behind" (that meme shows you just how much compassion they really have for the poor...NONE), but instead, it was angry young women who wouldn't vote for her...angry, alienated black voters who wouldn't vote period...and disaffected Bernie supporters who saw how the DNC rigged the Primaries.

She, in effect, blew a football game in which the other team fumbled the ball away in their own red zone a dozen times...THAT'S on her! I'm not sure which is worse, that Leftists (1) think Hillary should've won (UNLESS they slept through the entire campaign) because she was "the better choice" (she never made that case), or (2) the even more ridiculous belief that Bernie was popular BECAUSE of his "Socialist" message.

Bernie was ONLY "popular" because he WASN'T HER! His message was a fraud. He was thrown off a commune for failing to work. He and his wife have used a College as their own private piggy bank. He's a greedy uber-Capitalist...who uses "Socialist" rhetoric as a con.

UNTIL the Democrats do some serious soul searching, they're going to keep on putting up out-of-touch candidates and finding ways to lose.

The blame that belongs to those titans in banking and entertainment, etc. belongs with THEM alone, just as the crimes of John Wayne Gacey and Ted Bundy are theirs alone and their guilt isn’t shared by all whites.

Simplifying humanity’s problems is a naive, lazy way of avoiding the ugly reality expressed by Walter Kelly in his syndicated cartoon, Pogo, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

That is to say, that what the leading financiers and global financial elite have done, BOTH good and bad, is nothing most of the rest of us wouldn’t have done had we found ourselves in that same position. The primary impulse in such instances is to preserve and consolidate. That is, to preserve what we’ve created and consolidate the market as to reduce any chance of real competition. THAT is human nature, the SAME human nature that’s in ALL of us.

Some of the things attributed to the “global financial elite,” which I DO revile (for their simplistic globalism/One Worldism), are, truth be told, idiotic &/or insane. Those who control the governments of the West, its media and direct its Academia via grants and access to publishing, WOULD NOT WANT a “global slave state,” or “worldwide feudalism,” UNLESS they’re economic morons...BUT how would a group comprised of economic morons take control of s much of the world’s economy?

NO, what they’d want is a vibrant, thriving, market-based global economy in which they can take an incredibly HUGE and constantly growing “skim.”

That world would NOT look like a global plantation, nor feudal state, it would look like a much more unified globe, with a global currency, a global language, even a unified standard for electrical outlets around the world, a unifying global culture, a global set of laws and courts and a well-educated, prosperous populace doing well and paying local (state), federal and global taxes that these “masters of the universe” would feast upon.

Global poverty and oppression would hurt everyone, including these titans who’d continually take in LESS and be faced with the prospect of never-ending conflict.

TODAY, one of the mistakes that those controlling our mass media make is this continual pitting of group against group, scapegoating police in one story, black thugs in another. That serves to generate conflict that can easily get out of control.

NO...the goal of the Internationalists is a more unified, ultimately more homogeneous world, with LESS conflict and MORE prosperity. That has proven to be something very difficult to engineer and the attempts to engineer that, to date, have been both naïve and misguided.

There are people, of all backgrounds, in the world today, profiting from panic (“BUY gold/silver”) and HATE. These people are even WORSE than those they condemn.

Right, Left, or Center, black, or white, if you are a pro-America American citizen, your government sees YOU as a threat.

This is an interesting video for a number of reasons, especially in that it discusses a recent case that has largely flown under the media radar, that of Jerry Drake Varnell, a 23-year-old diagnosed schizophrenic, accused of attempting to bomb a bank, in Oklahoma City. The details of Varnells's FBI-inspired actions are so close to those of Timothy McVeigh’s and the Nichols brothers, that it was a story barely covered by most of the American media. Varnell's parents claim their son was "extremely mentally ill," a diagnosed schizophrenic, whom the FBI "groomed" and used as a dupe to stir fears of widespread "Right-wing terror." It's at least "interesting" that neither Timothy McVeigh, nor Micah Johnson (the Dallas Police shooter) lived long enough to talk. Micah Johnson was shot at the scene and McVeigh was muzzled and executed more quickly than anyone since the 1950s!

You can decide which outlet is more of an enemy of the people.

This video also chronicles Democratic Operative, Scott Foval, boasting about using "mentally ill people" to perpetrate violence at rallies and protests. These are NOT merely "Party fanatics, these are active government operatives with ties to our political-media class.

Perhaps because you can't trust much of anything to Terry McAulife, Charlottesville appeared STAGED right from the start. It WASN’T supposed to look that obviously staged!

Those suspicions have only grown stronger over time.

Charlottesville Police claim they were ordered to “bring the two opposing groups together,” then "Stand Down."

Two of the three leading figures of this allegedly growing "white supremacist movement" have ties to our political-media class and to Leftist groups like the Occupy movement, from Jason Kessler (an Obama supporter and Occupy movement member UNTIL November of 2016; http://www.richmond.com/news/virginia/organizer-of-charlottesville-s-unite-the-right-rally-described-as/article_c0acb07f-873d-5a9b-87dc-4f912824ad12.html) and Mike "Enoch" Peinovich an Upper East Sider from New York with a Jewish wife, look like perfect plants. The SAME recruiters do the SAME with the other side. Many leading Antifa and BLM leaders have come from Prep School, suburban, non-radical backgrounds, some of them with documented histories of mental and emotional issues.

This is NOT the way any responsible government SHOULD act.
