Can We Finally Get Rid of This Dope?....

Is it fair that a black Republican can’t play the race card, while black Liberals are freely encouraged to do just that?

Not at all.

When you embrace Republicanism, you embrace self-reliant Conservatism and Mike Steele has done just that.

But more and more the race card simply doesn’t carry the cache it once did...such is life in this post-Obama, post-racial America.

In the pre-Cambian era Kleptocrats like Kenneth Gibson and Sharpe James of Newark and Detroit’s Kwame Kilpatrick and Coleman Young could blame their foibles and all too often, outright thuggery on their being targeted because of their race, but blacks like Michael Steele, a man elected to head the RNC on the 6th Ballot, almost certainly BECAUSE of his race, simply has no such standing.

The Mike Steele’s of this world have no standing to speak up for the dispossessed. In fact, the Mike Steele’s of this world have been so privileged BY their race, for so long that they don’t even see who the truly dispossessed are today.

HINT: Take a look at the faces of those West Virginia Coal Miners. Those are the faces of Appalachian poverty, people with one chance out of a hideous, grinding poverty and that’s work in one of the most dangerous of America’s “death professions,” coal mining.

Yet Mike Steele still supports racial preferences based on the SAME “disparate impact” that caused the “mortgage meltdown” and the subsequent global credit crisis.

This whole Good Morning America flap should be the last straw for Mike Steele.

When asked on GMA if he thought he was being criticized unfairly because he's African-American, Steele replied;

“The honest answer is, Yes,” he said, adding that “Barack Obama has a slimmer margin. A lot of folks do. It's a different role for me to play and others to play and that's just the reality of it.”

That wasn’t merely a “bad move,” it was calloused idiocy, worthy of a Kleptocrat like a Kwame Fitzpatrick or a Sharpe James. In short, NOW is the time to jettison this dope before he does even more harm to the GOP.

Look, Steele, despite his racial beatification, was always a liability.

If it’s not already clear that the string of GOP victories post-Obama have NOTHING to do with Michael Steele and EVERYTHING to do with the rise of Conservatism via the tea Party Movement and that Steele is destined to embarrass the GOP on the national stage if given even half a chance, then maybe it’ll take that public pantsing to drive that point home!

Fact is, ANY party chairman whose national committee reimbursed a contributor to the tune of $2,000 for a night at a West Hollywood bondage-themed lesbian nightspot would be under much more pressure than Steele has YET to face.

Ironically and fittingly enough, Steele’s “throwing a bone to the Obama White House was returned with an anchor, as White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs presciently put it, “Michael Steele's problem isn't the race card - it's the credit card.”

Indeed, it is and fair or not, "the race card," belongs solely to the Liberal side.

Can we just finally get this guy out of here?!

Yet ANOTHER Indicator of Our Ongoing 1970's Redux.....

This past Easter Sunday saw yet another priceless "return to the 1970s" moment in New York City as dozens of thugs marauded through Times Square. Four people were shot by the rampaging thugs (none life threatening) and dozens more arrested in the Sunday evening "Wilding spree."

According the NY Daily News, "Fifty-six youths were arrested or given summonses after hundreds of thugs rampaged through Times Square and Herald Square on Easter Sunday night.

"Four people - a man and a woman in Times Square and two women outside Macy's - were shot in what cops say is becoming an annual tradition...

"...Cops shut down some of the city's most famous streets in Monday's wee hours and climbed into the iconic Macy's awning, looking for stashed weapons.

"Easter night has brought violent clashes to
the Times Square area since 2003, terrifying tourists, pedestrians and business owners. In 2006, three people were stabbed. Last year, there were 27 arrests.

"Sunday's gunfire upped the ante, and the specter of marauding hooligans running amok in midtown brought back memories of Times Square in seamier, scarier times."

For those of you who didn't get to "enjoy" the "out-of-control 70's".....Well, looks like you're gonna a get a chance to see the sequel.

Liberal Rage at America on Display.....

This past weekend the Washington Post printed an Op-Ed by Colbert King entitled, The Deeper Roots of Rage, in which he inanely compares the Tea Party Conservatives to the pro-segregationist Democrats of a few decades ago.

Colbert King can’t seem to get his history right on any of his points.

Ironically enough, today, more than 60% of Americans support the Tea party movement and more than 2/3s of Americans told Rasmussen that their values are closer to the Tea Party values than to those of “the political class,” or that over 54% of the Tea Party members are WOMEN!

When Colbert King compares the alleged, but unvetted “verbal abuse” by Tea Partiers to that of people at a David Dukes rally he claimed to have witnessed, he conveniently omits that David Dukes had been a lifelong Democrat and STILL and to this day sees his “working-class socialist” views much more in concert with the Democrat Party. Or , when he derides allegedly fascistic Conservatives like Pat Buchanan, he apparently does so in ignorance of the fact that Pat Buchanan himself, had raised much Right-wing ire by declaring that he didn’t see Barrack Obama as a particularly “bad” or “malicious” President.

Moreover, Mr. King conveniently omits that it is Republicans who’ve been the ONLY targets of actual mob violence, with Virginia Republican Eric Cantor being the only member of Congress to have actual shots fired into his office by a loan, Obama-supporting, Muslim nut, hardly representative of the American Left.

The videos of those protests seem to show nothing more than “booing,” no racial or anti-gay slurs, and no incidents of “spitting.”

See for yourself;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SCs6pSE8_I&feature=player
.

In fact, far from taking Andrew Breitbart up on his $100,000 offer for any proof of spitting, both Representatives Cleaver and Lewis claimed, they “never said anyone deliberately spit on us.” OK, so it was others (apparently people like Colbert King) who decided to run with those false charges.

Can he possibly believe that contemporary American Liberalism supports a bigger, more intrusive government, higher tax rates, etc.?

I honestly don’t think so, as that is a view supported by only a small, rabid and radical fringe within the broader Liberal spectrum.

So what could possibly motivate Mr. King, other than pure and unadulterated hatred for so many of his fellow Americans?

What other reason could he have for STILL supporting the very people (Rep. Clever and Lewis) who, in effect, threw him and his media ilk under the proverbial bus with their recent denials, other than an unbridled and undeniable hatred for over 60% of his fellow Americans?

For those of you who didn't see Colbert King's vicious attack-piece on Conservative-America in general and the Tea Parties, Glenn Beck,  Sean Hannity in particular, you can find it online at;

Did Obama Just Commission The “Private Army” He Called For???....

Could Obama's "Civilian Army" look anything like THIS???

From Nancy Mathis (American Daughter: http://www.americandaughter.com/);

Remember when Obama said he wanted a “national security force”? Not the national guard, but a civilian one that has not sworn to uphold the Constitution? On July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs, Barack Obama called for a police state.

Obama just got his private army...

...And no one seems to have noticed. It is buried in the Senate revisions to the health care bill."

And Kelly Wolf at RightSide News (http://www.rightsidenews.com/201003269246/editorial/are-you-ready.html) said;

Now, remember when Obama said this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwaAVJITx1Y&feature=player

"...not continue to rely only on our military...in order to acheive the national security objectives that we've set..."

So, what does that bring us to? Well, take a look at what can be found on page 1,311 of that "health care" reform bill that passed on Sunday...

SEE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOtGr1JFCnE&feature=player

Buried in the recently passed “Health Care Overhaul is this:

Sec. 5203. Health care workforce loan repayment programs.

What could possibly be the purpose of a "civilian Armed Forces," controlled by the Executive Branch?
Didn't Hitler have such a "Civilian Army?"

The "Brown Shirts"???

Rasmussen’s Polls Show More Americans Identify With Tea Party Views....

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.

Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.

By a 62% to 12% margin, Mainstream Americans say the Tea Party is closer to their views.

By a 90% to one percent (1%) margin, the Political Class feels closer to Congress.

Obama Supporting Shia Muslim Fired Shots Into Eric Cantor’s Office....

Is ANY of THIS at all surprising?

According to TPM
http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/03/man-charged-with-threatening-eric-cantor.php

PHILADELPHIA - Today, a two-count complaint and warrant was filed charging Norman Leboon with threatening to kill United States Congressman Eric Cantor and his family, and threatening to kill Congressman Eric Cantor, who is an official of the United States, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy and FBI Special Agent in Charge Jan Fedarcyk. As set forth in the affidavit to the complaint and warrant, in or about late March, 2010, Leboon created and then transmitted a YouTube video to Google over the internet, in which he threatened to kill Congressman Cantor and his family. No harm came to the Congressman or his family as a result of Leboon's threats.

"The Department of Justice takes threats against government officials seriously, especially threats to kill or injure others," said Levy. "Whether the reason for the threat is personal or political, threats are not protected by the First Amendment and are crimes."

“The majority of Americans still believe Health Care needs reforming...”  (a Liberal)

Yes, Conservatives want REAL Health Care REFORM – reform that reins in the COSTS!

I saw an article on cancer survival rates that put the USA's 5-year survival rates on early detected cancers at over 90% and Europe's and Canada's at under 85%.

The other thing I find endlessly amusing is how so many naive Leftists still think, "there's no mandate forcing you to buy health insurance in this Bill."

YES there IS!

And the fine is up to 2.5% of your income by 2016!

Yes, and businesses can opt out of paying health insurance premiums by simply paying a $2,000/year fee per employee to the government!

Let's see, a $2K/year fee to the feds against $15K to $25K per year in health insurance premiums per worker???....Hmmmm....Looks like an easy decision, "No employer-driven health-care for YOU."

THAT, by the way, is the "trigger" for the public option."

And again, I've said for a VERY long time, a "universal public option" CAN be made workable, IF (1) we roll Medicare and Medicaid into it, (2) bulk up the enforcement arm and ratchet up the penalties for fraud and abuse and (3) strictly RATION and RESTRICT that public option (by offering a max of 4 to 6 visits per year AND up to a max of, say, $10K/year in treatments), so long as available "gap insurance" is there for those willing and able to pay the premiums from private insurers.

That way, "the least productive people are rationed and restricted" and businesses and municipalities will be freed from the burden of providing BILLIONS of $$$ in free healthcare, making them much more profitable and competitive and thus making the American worker much more competi8tive in the global labor market!

The ONLY problem with America's current health care delivery system is COST, and that's because we simply GIVE too much costly and advanced health care away to too many people who don't pay any premiums for it.

That's the problem we must solve.
