Pelosi's Mental Boomerang!

Nancy Pelosi

Just hours after questioning Trump's mental health and fitness for Office, her own mental health came into serious question and very publicly.

Pelosi's issues came to light less than two hours after suggesting Trump was losing his mind. "I am concerned about his (Trump's) fitness for office," she said on MSNBC.

"I think his family should be concerned about his health," Pelosi added. "The fact is that this is hopefully not reparable - he’s the president of the United States."

"You mean you hope it IS reparable?" Joe Scarborough asked, apparently confused.

"Yeah, yeah," she replied.

Asked if she had any advice for Trump, she said, "Go to sleep, get some sleep. Bring yourself to a place where your synapses are working."

A couple hours later at her own weekly press conference, Pelosi not only became confused, yet again, over what President is in office, referring to Trump as "President Bush," but also as to what day of the week it was.

"I spoke with the speaker a week, a week and a couple days ago, about -- oh, no, just last Friday," she said. "What is today? Is it Friday again?"

One of her aides came to her assistance, passing her a note alerting her to the slip-ups.

These "senior moments" are becoming embarrassingly routine for the 77 y/o Pelosi, who a month ago became confused at a visit to China, continually calling China, "Tina," in a rambling and at times incoherent discourse.

I think it’s kind of nice that San Francisco elected a cognitively challenged person to represent them. She pretty much fits the mental status of the area.

Boy, That was QUICK!...OR...Damn Cindy, we Hardly Missed You!!!

.
.
.
.
.
.
Cindy Sheehan former hippie and modern-day professional protestor, has threatened to run for Nancy Pelosi's Congressional seat UNLESS Speaker Pelosi introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush within the next two weeks.
.
(WoW! If THAT doesn't light a fire under Pelosi, I guess nothing will.)
.
Sheehan, who turns fifty tomorrow (Tuesday, July 10th) and lives in a Sacramento suburb, OUTSIDE of Pelosi's District, has said she'll run against Pelosi as an Independent if Pelosi doesn't seek to Impeach Bush by July 23rd. That's the date that Sheehan and her supporters are set to arrive in Washington after a 13 day caravan and walking tour, starting next week from the group's Crawford, TX site.
.
(I sure hope to gawd they have shower facilities on that 13 day caravan.)
.
Sheehan said "Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership. We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."
.
(Yes, Cindy, I'd be clear in separating (Liberal) "Democrats" from "Americans" too.)
.
Of course Ms. Sheehan seems to be overlooking a vital factor in American politics - If you're to the Left of Nancy Pelosi, you have a better chance of winning in Beijing, than anywhere within the old U.S. of A.

WoW! Now Even Liberals Are Calling the Pelosi-wing of the Democratic party “Morons”

This past Tuesday The New Republic kicked of “May Day” by proverbially kicking Congressional Liberal Dems in the nads.

Senior Editor, Lawrence Kaplan wrote, “Maybe it was a slip of the tongue. But, when Nancy Pelosi confessed last year that she felt "sad" about President Bush's claims that Al Qaeda operates in Iraq, she seemed to be disputing what every American soldier in Iraq, every Al Qaeda operative, and anyone who reads a newspaper already knew to be true. (When I questioned him about Pelosi's assertion, a U.S. officer in Ramadi responded, incredulously, that Al Qaeda had just held a parade in his sector.) Perhaps the House speaker was alluding to the discredited claim that Al Qaeda operated in Iraq before the war.”

Ironically even that charitable last out (the one about al Qaeda not having been in Iraq prior to the U.S./U.K. led invasion has been dispelled by George Tenet whose recent book claims that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was operating in Iraq as early as May of 2002.

At any rate , Kaplan honestly assesses the possibilities in this way, “What is going on here? There are two possibilities: First, Reid and Pelosi could be purposefully minimizing the stakes in Iraq. Or, second, they don't know what they're talking about. My guess is some combination of the two. Political maneuvering certainly contributes to the everyday pollution of Iraq discourse. But a lot of the pollution derives from legislators being functionally illiterate about the war over which Congress now intends to preside. In this, of course, they're hardly alone.”

More perplexing still is these same Congressional Democrats non-reception of General Petraeus. Again, Kaplan explained, “During General Petraeus's visit to Washington last week, for example, House Democrats at first denied the Iraq commander an opportunity to brief them, citing "scheduling conflicts." And, when he finally did brief Congress, the evidence of progress that Petraeus was expected to present was dismissed before he even offered it. "He's the commander," Senator Carl Levin reasoned. "We always know that commanders are optimistic about their policies." The joke here, of course, is that Levin and his colleagues were not so long ago denouncing the Bush administration -- and rightly so -- for the sin of disparaging military expertise.”

Stranger still, is the fact that most of these Congressional Dems voted to confirm General Petraeus, who endorsed the surge, thus confirming Petraeus was, in effect, supporting the surge.

Even the Washington posts’ David Broder has taken Harry Reid to task for undermining his own plan for a diplomatic solution to Iraq.

"Instead of reinforcing the important proposition ... that a military strategy for Iraq is necessary but not sufficient to solve the myriad political problems of that country, Reid has mistakenly argued that the military effort is lost but a diplomatic-political strategy can succeed." Nor is this the only reason to doubt the reasoning behind Reid's "diplomatic surge." To begin with, even if they were inclined to assist the American cause in Iraq, neither Iran nor Syria have much, if any, sway over Al Qaeda. Moreover, the violence in Iraq has its own, wholly internal logic. In fact, the one brand of diplomacy that truly matters in Iraq--the U.S. Army's tribal diplomacy, which accounts for the recent turn-around in Anbar Province--is precisely the mission that Reid's demand for a skeleton force would shut down.”

Lawrence Kaplan calls them “illiterate on Iraq,” and Broder calls Reid’s basic common sense into question.

Does it get any better and yet, at the same time, scarier than that?!

You Mean DeLay and Abramoff Did Exactly What Nancy Pelosi Did???

One of the things that Tom DeLay was excoriated for was working with Jack Abramoff to keep the U.S. controlled Mariana Islands in the Pacific, free from the U.S. Minimum Wage and immigration laws.

Seems as though the Mariana Islands, including Saipan (pictured above) had been home to a number of Chinese run sweatshops since the very early 1980s. The Chinese loved this arrangement as it allowed them to label their goods "Made in the USA," avoiding both charges of "using slave labor" and the import duties that existed at the time.

A bad bit of business to be sure, BUT no worse than Nancy Pelosi's January attempt to do much the same for a San Francisco lobbyist (StarKist Tuna) who wanted her to exempt Guam from the U.S. Minimum Wage hike - she only caved when the story went public.

Stories like the Chinese sweatshops on the U.S. controlled Mariana Islands are important and they DO highlight a real example of American political corruption. What is hypocritical however is for some in the media to act as though this corruption is the domain of one Party more than the other - many those sweatshops arrived at the tail end of the Carter administration, and have existed there and grown ever since, under Congresses controlled by BOTH Democrats and Republicans, under BOTH Democratic Presidents and Republican ones.

To find out that within weeks of assuming the Speaker of the House position, that Nancy Pelosi would do precisely what Tom DeLay was excoriated for, responding to a lobbyist and trying to exempt an American controlled protectorate (Guam & the Mariana Islands) from the impact of the U.S. Minimu Wage laws is troubling, to say the least.
