Holder’s Incompetence Seeks Leniency For KSM but Seeks to “Throw the Book” at Three Heroic Navy Seals
In keeping with the Left-leaning, media, best exampled by the likes of Chris (“He went to maybe an enemy camp” - in referring to President Obama’s visit to West Point) Matthews and similar scum that have infected both American politics and its media, Eric Holder, a man completely in simpatico with the pathology (often erroneously euphemized as “political correctness”) that focused the bulk of the Military’s concern and sympathy for jihadist Major Malik Hasan and worried itself sick over unfounded fears of an “anti-Islamic backlash,” rather than the 13 AMERICAN soldiers killed and the 33 others wounded soldiers at Fort Hood, has now made more than clear his desire to push those same intentions legally.
He’s made those intentions clear as he prepares to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) in a New York City criminal Court, despite the fact that KSM was never mirandized or accorded ANY of the rights that ANY criminal defendant warrants in an American court of law, while he seeks to “throw the book” at three Navy Seals who brought in Ahmed Hashim Abed, the jihadist behind the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater civilian contractors, working to improve the infrastructure of Iraq, back in 2004.
The prosecution of the three Seals (Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2 and Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1) amounts to, no less than siding with Ahmed Hashim Abed and his jihadist in arms AGAINST the U.S. Military.
And trying jihadists detained on battlefields as the “enemy combatants” they are, amounts to virtually assuring their acquittal since none of the required legal requirements for arrest, for search warrants and evidence collection were followed...but NONE of that matters to Eric Holder, who really wants to put the Bush administration and the FBI and CIA on trial.
DUMB!
A HUGE majority of the American people support the way the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were waged.
Add this to the Obama administration’s non-stimulating “stimulus program,” the ill=conceived (pay more for less care) healthcare overhaul and the now UNSCIENTIFIC, punitively anti-business and anti-job creation “Cap and Trade” fiasco and the coming tax increase tsunami and you have a mosaic of misfortune.
The end result here is almost certainly going be even worse than the debacle that the star-crossed Jimmy Carter presided over.

ineptitude is a common theme in the obama administration. i still can't believe this terrorist is going to be tried like an ordinary american citizen.
Trying these jihadists in U.S. criminal courts is begging for their acquittals on the grounds that the "rules of evidence" weren't properly followed - no miranda warnings, no warrants, no chain of custody in regards to evidence collection, etc.
Meanwhile, they're looking to imprison 3 Navy Seals for giving the jihadist who organized the Fallujah murder-mutilations, a fat lip!

That crime was not comparable to 3 spoiled MILLIONAIRES committing an ARMED ROBBERY!
When pampered MILLIONAIRES commit violent crimes, that's news.

Your posting a series of crimes committed by whites is like the amusing exchange I once had with a black professor of criminology about race and crime. When confronted with the disproportionate violent crime rate both here and elsewhere by blacks, his response was, "Well, whites commit 54% of the murders, how do you explain that?"

That 52% includes Hispanic whites. Asians commit a paltry 2% of the violent crimes, leaving blacks, who are just 12% of the population committing Blacks, responsible for 46% of the violent crimes!
That stat bolsters my point about the disproportionate crime rates.
But that (race) wasn't my point about the 3 College football stars who committed that armed robbery....the fact that 3 pampered MILLIONAIRES committed an armed robbery was.
And Tiger Woods was the VICTIM in that incident!

When someone assaults someone with a weapon (including household items like a hammer, a rake, a baseball bat or a golf club), that's a serious felony.
When an adult engages in sexual congress with someone under 14 years of age that's PEDOPHILIA, whether the adult is male or female.
The fact that all too often women's acts of mayhem and brutality are "laughed off" as a jocular "turning the tables" is a sickness within our judicial system....and hopefully a temporary one.

The problem is that the GOP leadership (it's Moderate-wing) is almost as Keynesian as the Liberal Democrats.

Conservatism probably NEEDS a new vehicle, one that can attract the over 40% of Americans who self-identify as Conservatives. Today, ONLY half of all Conservatives identify themselves as Republicans.
We NEED another "Gingrich Revolution" with or without the real Gingrich.
We NEED someone with the guts to tear up the 20th Century....the current Obama-Bush (yes, GW was a Keynesian too) abominations, the failed "Great Society" and even the last vestiges of the New Deal.
If Conservatives must drag the rest of America kicking and screaming back to LIBERTY and self-responsibility/self-ownership so be it....that is their charge.
We just have to find an appropriate political vehicle....and an appropriate spokesperson for that view.
And I don't have an answer for that, JMK...while I like Sarah Palin (more because the libs hate her), I don't see her as the answer, just as someone who causes the Left to lose sleep and insanely drool.
Is there a charismatic true conservative, who can rally diverse conservative/libertarian/independent/moderate opinions, into a powerful voice in '12? If there is, I am not aware of who it is right now, and whoever the media seizes upon (as they did Bush in '00 and McCain '08), I know that person ISN'T the answer.

No, he's no more a Van Jones or a Bill Ayers than G W Bush was a Klansman.
In fact, Bill Ayers and others have had huge and very vocal problems with Obama's continuing to use most of the "Bush Doctrine," including continuing the NSA Surveillance program, the increased use of rendition (sending terror suspects to foreign locales for more "intense interrogations") and ratcheting UP the war in Afghanistan.
Obama's Nobel acceptance speech was one of the all time BEST! He acknowledged that there are evil people in this world" and that "evil must be confronted," adding, "a non-violent peace-movement would NOT have defeted the Nazis, nor will peaceful negotiations eradicate al Qaida."
His economic policies are very bad....very much "Carteresque," but only the most nive among us would believe that "he Obama administration is deliberately trying to wreck the U.S. economy."
That strategy would doom not only them, but the entire Democratic Party going forward....that's "wishful thinking" on some folk's part.
So far Obama has been very Bush-like on the economy.....continuing to bail out the banks and transfering BILLIONS from taxpaying working people to banks and big business, while NONE of the things that caused the credit crisis and the current economic downturn have been eliminated.
It's doubtful that a Bush or a McCain....or ANY "Moderate Republican" would've done much differently on that score.
No Obama is grounded in a very Leftist "community activist" mindset, but he's fundamentally different rom the likes of Ayers, Jones and Koh.
Again, those who take the view that "Liberal Democrats are Communists" are not merely simplistically wrong, but they endanger the cause of Conservatism by trivializing it.

I think we'll see a MAJOR shift in 2010....very possibly the re-taking of BOTH Houses of Congress...so long as we don't match the liberal's batshit craziness with more of our own. We have a lot of Conservatives who have taken to a rampant paranoia that threatens to scare away moderates and independents....I hope they can come around to see the light that "this too shall pass."
