Wrong Emphasis on the War on Terror...

The overriding problem with Islamic culture is its rigid cultural/religious intolerance, which is something more indicative of a cult than a religion.

That's one of the problems with the West's "War on Terror" - it vaguely defines the enemy as "radical Islam," with an emphasis on "radical," when it SHOULD be on "Islam."

.

Terrorism is a legitimate military tactic.

It is merely "unconventional warfare waged, primarily, against civilian targets." That is a natural and often necessary part of war.

America's Minutemen DID indeed wage a “terrorist (unconventional warfare) campaign” against the British in the Americas, as DID the Jews in the Palestine region (some of that now Israel) do that to the British in the 1940s Mideast.

"Terrorism" is NOT the issue, or the problem...it is merely a manifestation of a far greater, REAL problem. In the latter cases, the will of Mideast Jews and American Colonists for their own self determination and homelands, while on so-called "radical Islam's" part, it's more akin to the terror waged by other racist or racialist groups like the KKK or the Nation Of Islam (Black Muslims), or the Aryan Nation, or the Black Panthers.

There is absolutely NO/ZERO moral equivalence between terror waged by those fighting for their independence and self determination and that waged in support of racial or cultural hatred....and yet THAT is what the American far-Left has continually insisted on trying to do - make a moral equivalence where none exists.

THAT has been one of the greatest failures of the Bush administration – failing to adequately and accurately identify and define the enemy in this War on Terrorism.

If the current administration maintains that failed policy, it could wind up having some very dire consequences not too far down the road.

NJ Congressman Supports Somali Jihad

It turns out that 9 term Congressman, Donald Payne (D-NJ) serving the 10th Congressional District (pictured left) opposes the Ethiopia’s assisting the Baidoa-based Transitional Federal Government in Somalia and helping route the Islamic forces there.

Apparently Rep Payne would prefer an Islamic state in Somalia, what al Qaeda’s called , “The southern garrison of al Qaeda.”

What else could he have meant when he said this;

“The invasion of Somalia by Ethiopian forces, despite claims of invitation by the weak Baidoa-based Transitional Federal Government, only leads to more suffering and instability in the Horn of Africa region. United Nations Security Council resolution 1725 clearly stated that "all Member States, in particular those in the region, should refrain from any action in contravention of the arms embargo and related measures."

“Using military force instead of negotiations is a deliberate and ill-advised measure that will further destabilize and increase the suffering of the Somali people. I strongly condemn this aggression and call for the immediate withdrawal of Ethiopian and all foreign forces from Somalia.“

The African Union and the Arab League have called for Ethiopian and all foreign troops to immediately leave Somalia. Unfortunately, the inaction by the United Nations Security Council has once again failed the helpless people of Somalia.”


Apparently Rep Payne fails to realize that America is NOT at war with “Terrorism” or al Qaeda, or even “radical Islam,” it’s very much at war with the global forces of Sharia-based Islam and those forces, wherever they are, are very much at war with us.

Moreover, besides the FACT that the UN had, through passing Resolution 1725, which forbade the Somali transitional government from buying arms to defend itself, as the world's Islamic nations illicitly smuggled weapons, troops, and funds to their throat slitting cohorts in order to impose the oppressive Sharia Law upon those Rep. Payne calls "the helpless people of Somalia".

And it’s not as though overwhelmingly Christian Ethiopia and Somalia’s Muslims have had much peace and stability recently as the Islamists have long called for a holy war (jihad) against Ethiopian troops in Baidoa.

What Americans like Rep Payne need to understand is what the Sharia-adhering Muslims already know, that while the West “Lives for life, we (the Muslims) live to die.”

As Saddam is buried, a new milestone in the war in Iraq is reached

On the same day Saddam Hussein was buried in his hometown of Tikrit, the U.S. announced the deaths of two U.S. soldiers bringing the toll on the U.S. Military to at least 3,000, as this war approaches its fourth year.

The moonbats claim, "It's official that G W Bush is now responsible for more American deaths than Osaam bin Laden."

Of course that's utter nonsense, on both points.

For one, G W Bush is no more or less responsible for prosecuting the wart in Iraq than were the 98 Senators who signed onto the Bush Doctrine in October of 2001, nor the Congress that gave the administration the carte blanche it needed to prosecute this war.

Moreover, the "war" in Iraq ended in less than a month when Saddam Hussein's forces were defeated.

Since that time, the Kurdish north has moved on in relative peace and grateful prosperity, while the Sunni minority, angry at their being displaced from control of that country and fearful of resentful Shiites have been at each other's throats.

Iran's Persian Shiite population has seen an opportunity to increase its influence over that region, something the U.S. cannot allow to happen.

On the other side of that inane statement, Osamma bin Laden isn't responsible for the nearly 3,000 deaths of 9/11/01, it was most likely al Zawahiri who was the planner behind 9/11/01.

Moreover, what we've learned since 9/11 is that the War on Terror (WoT) is not a merely fight against al Qaeda, or even "radical Islam," it's a war between Sharia-based Islam and the West. Of that there is no doubt.

All one need do is to look around the world today and observe the many ethnic clashes. In Kashmir traditional Sharia-based Muslims (NOT al Qaeda) clash with Hindus. In Darfur, in the Sudan, traditional Sharia-based Muslims are systematically raping and killing the non-Muslims of the Sudan. In Kosovo, traditional Sharia-based Muslims initiated that conflict by engaging in the first genocide in that region. In Indonesia, traditional Sharia-based Muslims clash with Catholics and throughout Europe traditional Sharia-based Muslims are now clashing with Europeans and claiming that they will not stop pushing until Sharia Law is the law over all of Europe.

With that in mind, there are two kinds of Westerners today, those that understand that the WoT is actually a war between Medieval, Sharia-based Islam and the modern West and those who don't.

As a matter of fact, it's a war that's been building for decades and one that has been waged by the Arab-Muslim world against the West, in earnest (full-time) since about 1991.

Those who refuse to believe that, even those who cling to some hope of a negotiated settlement are, wittingly or not, friends (or at least "useful idiots") of the jihad. There is no way for traditional Sharia-based Islam to peacefully co-exist with what it sees as the "decadent and immoral West."

There is no chance for any kind of negotiated peace, there is no backing away from this growing global war between two competing ideologies.
