Are Colin Kaepernick's "BLM-inspired Protests" Genuine, or Are They a Shield Against Poor Play?

Is Colin Kaepernick the Right Man to Represent the BLM Movement?

Without thinking about, or even trying, most grassroots movements wind up being fronted by wealthy politicians or athletes/entertainers with little understanding of the issues and connection to the issues they ultimately, through mass media focus, come to represent.

This seems to be the case with Colin Kaepernick’s recent engagement with the Black Lives matter (BLM) movement.

The problem with the BLM movement itself ISN’T with the basic concept of “black lives mattering,” BUT the complete misunderstanding and misrepresentation of police/minority interactions that movement has so often actively engaged in. Overlooking inconvenient facts like over 3/4s of those killed by police are NOT black, and that over 40% of cop killers ARE black…and that blacks (12% of the population) have committed over 50% of all homicides nationwide since 1976; See:http://workingclassconservative.blogspot.com/2016/09/anti-police-hatred.html?m=1 facts that no one has yet challenged, the entire issue of negative police interactions is demeaned.

Fact is, almost all of those killed by police have been attacking police when killed, including Michael Brown (Ferguson, MO.), the original model for the BLM movement. Brown was NOT shot for “robbing a store,” but for charging a police cruiser, struggling over that officer’s gun, which amounts to, “Attempted Murder of a Police Officer. That’s why Mike Brown was shot & killed, he fought with a cop, struggled for that cop’s gun...and was rightfully shot for that.

Ironically enough there have been some actual questionable shootings over this period, like that of John Crawford III(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqZ-teZsZmo) in an Ohio Walmart (over a malicious 911 call by another shopper) and James Boyd, a homeless man shot & killed for “illegal camping” in Albuquerque, NM. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tpAZObNZfI) Of course, James Boyd was white and didn’t fit the BLM narrative and despite the fact that video evidence resulted in the conviction of 2 of those cops for murder.

I don’t have any problem with folks like Colin Kaepernick protesting. I DOhave a huge problem with people like him NOT being engaged and informed enough, even curious enough to know the actual facts. I also would have an even bigger problem, IF, as some have suggested, Kaepernick is using this issue as a shield against possibly being cut. He’s lost his starting job to Blaine Gabbert, NOT Brett Favre in his prime, but journeyman, Blaine Gabbert and a rookie QB may have passed him on the depth chart.

I hope Kaepernick is on the level with this, but even if he is truly devoted to the issue, he doesn’t seem to have a real understanding of the facts surrounding police shootings and that’s a problem.

Black Lives Matter Feasts on the Most Vulnerable and Dysfunctional People in Society...and That’s Pathetic

Lamont Edmondson made the news the other day...for threatening a cop and immediately getting arrested and remanded to a psych center for evaluation. (http://www.silive.com/…/07/psych_test_ordered_for_man_who.h…). What had Edmondson’s arrest make news was his reference to Eric Garner in doing so.

Threatening speech is criminalized in this country and since 9/11 the penalties have been ratcheted up for that crime.

If you don’t know that...that’s YOUR fault. “Ignorance is no excuse for failing to obey the law.”

Police can arrest you on mere “suspicion.”

That’s also a fact and worse yet, should the charges be subsequently dropped, it’s a VERY high bar to prove “false arrest,” as it SHOULD BE.

Merely backing away from an arresting LOE (that’s “Law Enforcement Officer”) constitutes “Resisting Arrest.” Pushing, shoving, spitting or otherwise making contact with an LOE constitutes felony assault of a police officer.

One of the things the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has done is to bring such charges to the forefront, and NOT in the way the BLM sympathizers might have hoped. Around the country, “minor resisting” arrest charges have been changed to simple “resisting arrest” and the courts are taking them much MORE seriously.

The government DOES NOT want citizens disobeying its laws, and it WILL NOT tolerate criminal suspects confronting or challenging its police.

To that end, there is a veritable “Manhattan Project” going on in the development of newer, more immediately effective non-lethal weapons that will soon allow police to basically “turn off” (render a suspect unconscious and/or immobile), allowing them to “package” and easily transport the suspect to a holding cell.

GOVERNMENT does not want its laws broken, nor its employees threatened or harmed. No government does.

I’ve long suggested that certain actions (resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and other violent felonies) come with an immediate suspension of ALL government benefits to that individual – SSI, public assistance, section-8 housing assistance, food stamps, student loans, etc. and depending upon the outcome of the court proceedings, some, or all of these benefits may be permanently suspended for that person.

Since so many street criminals are also government dependents, it would seem to (1) be an excellent way to show such self-unaware people how dependent upon the government they really are and (2) in so doing, effectively bring such people to heel.

In perusing Mr. Edmondson’s Facebook page, he seems very much in need of serious psychiatric help. His mood swings from euphoric to morose from post to post. In that regard, he’s not too different from many others of similar inclinations, which seems to evidence that perhaps we need MORE long-term psychiatric facilities and a change in the disastrous laws that brought about the ill-fated de-institutionalization of the late 1960s and 1970s.

From Adam Lanza, to Jared Loughner, to James Holmes, to Micah X. Johnson, to Gavin Long, to Seung-Hui Cho, to Lamont Edmondson, they ALL show a common trend of apparent major psychiatric disorders that seem to onset in early adulthood in these males.

Recently the odious New York tabloid, the NY Daily News hired Shaun King of BLM infamy and a man not without his own racial controversies. The real problem with Shaun King is the same issue that dogged Rachel Dolezal – BOTH are vile racial bigots.

In a recent Daily News piece (courtesy of the vicarious enabler, Jimmy Rich), Mr. King writes about the recent Grosse Pointe, Michigan controversy, in which three drunken, white high school students ranted about African-Americans (http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/local-news/151777852-story) in a most vile way, but instead of seeing this as three drunken, immature kids acting out, Shaun King sees it as an indictment of America, “Over this past Memorial Day weekend, several white high school students from Grosse Pointe South High School in Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., a suburb of Detroit, recorded a video where they discussed what they'd love to do if they were elected president in 2040. Among their ideas were bringing back slavery, burning black people with brands and sending them back to Africa. To Shaun King, this outlier event involving 3 drunken teens from a small Grosse Point High School proves that, “Racism is as American as apple pie, baseball and handguns. If any of us thought it was a relic of the past or something relegated to the Deep South, we were sorely mistaken.”

Take a very GOOD LOOK at this video, in which a group of NON-inebriated adults make the Grosse Point teens look tame by comparison...AND a number of these Black Israelites from New York City are purported to be City workers (some from the Dept. of Corrections). Despite their vile racial bigotry, that group DOES NOT represent “black people.” A bigot of any color speaks ONLY for him/herself. BUT the fact of the matter is, that the 1^st Amendment was written specifically to protect controversial, offensive, even bigoted speech, such speech is the ONLY speech that NEEDS protecting, but the SAME 1^st Amendment that protects those Black Israelites, also protects those dopey, drunken teens from Grosse Pointe.

We can only hope that the teens outgrow their outrageous bigotry, sadly there seems to be less hope for that when dealing with the adult men of the Black Israelite cult and other such haters.

Former Black Panther Calls Out Black Lives Matter for its...."White Supremacy"

In this clip, he notes that the premise of the "Black Lives Matter" (BLM) movement IS white supremacy...that, in his words, "They're saying that whites better start taking better care of their animals..."

In many ways his transformation is similar to that of David Mamet's, the long-time Leftist playwright who, over time, became a Conservative and declared that new ideology in an article titled, "Why I am no Longer a Brain Dead Liberal."

Mamet wrote, "One of the most disgraceful decisions in this country's history was the Dred Scott decision, which created two classes of people, 'black' & 'white.' How is that any different than Affirmative Action today?"

Mamet recalled asking famed author Shelby Steele to speak at his synagogue and recounts how an older woman there asked, "How can we whites make things better for black people?"

Unwittingly that woman who asked Shelby Steele, in effect, "How can we help," WAS operating from a white supremacist viewpoint....that absent white help, blacks are, in effect, doomed.

WHY?!

Why would anyone think that?

In a similar vein, C Mason Weaver sees that SAME operating principle in the BLM movement, the view that absent white intervention and "help" blacks cannot do well.

"Good intentions" count for nothing if they don't result in decent results rooted in individualism, private property rights and personal freedom for ALL involved. Just wanting "to help," means little when there's really very little we as individuals can do, SHORT OF changing our own inner attitudes...and being more decent with others.

The poor don't need pity. Pity doesn't pay any bills. They NEED opportunities, for better education, job training, they need to have higher expectations...they need a whole host of things, MOST of WHICH they must find inside themselves. Much of poverty is often self-inflicted via recklessness and irresponsibility, substance abuse and other personal flaws or failings.

Most of us can't provide opportunities to others, we don't own businesses that create jobs. Our well wishes count for little. The best most people can do (and it's a LOT) is to change their own inner mindsets that keep us looking down at those who aren't doing well at THAT time.

Often life's lessons are tough...and they can't be learned if they're interrupted by well-intentioned do-gooders, intent on looking down and "helping."

On February 12th, Christopher Marquez, a decorated war hero, recipient of the Bronze Star, was attacked by a group of Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporters and advocates. Incidents like this kind of make the point I've been making for the past two years, that the BLM movement is, in actuality, a "Thug's Union." Meanwhile, in that very same month, Vincent Broughten was caught red-handed putting up racist flyers in an obvious racial hoax incident (See:http://theblacksphere.net/…/culprit-caught-putting-up-raci…/), similar to another hoax, allegedly perpetrated by Gary Nathaniel Moore (SEE:http://www.breitbart.com/…/muslim-accused-burning-houston-…/) who is charged with arson in the buring of a Houston Mosque he attended...and to yet another racial hoax allegedly perpetrated by a Kean University student Kayla-Simone McKelvey (http://www.nj.com/…/12/arrest_made_in_kean_twitter_threat.h…) last November!

Nor are such hoaxes at all rare (http://www.fakehatecrimes.org/fakes?page=1).

There's certainly a major problem with racial bigotry and intolerance in this country, just NOT the one that Hillary Clinton and the BLM crew fantasize about...

The Problem With Racializing Events

America's National Media Plays Along....With the BIG LIE

Some events very much ARE racial/ethnic in nature, but many others are not, but it’s easy to racialize even non-racial events because race/ethnicity is easy to see, while ideology isn’t.

For instance, the “Black Lives Matter” (BLM) movement grew out of, what appears to be a wrongheaded, view that police shoot and kill more black people than members of any other ethnic group.

That turns out to be false.

It turns out that despite the widely held view that black Americans are systemically targeted by the police, analysis shows that more white people die at the hands of law enforcement officers than any other race.

Peter Moskos, an assistant professor at New York City University’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice, has concluded that during the period ranging from May 2013 to April of 2015 roughly 49% of those killed by LEOs were white, while only 30% were black.

The stats are even more glaring when such deaths are adjusted for the homicide rates. Then data shows that whites are 1.7 times more likely than blacks die at the hands of police,” Moskos said.

Moskos added, “Adjusted for the racial disparity at which police are feloniously killed, whites are 1.3 times more likely than blacks to die at the hands of police.” (http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/us/study-more-whites-killed-by-police-than-blacks)

It’s easy to see why the radicalized BLM movement would be seen as representing black America, even though they clearly do not.  The faces of that movement are indeed black, the areas in which they organize are predominantly black and all of us, in school are taught to generalize from the local to the global, from the specific to the more general, predisposing us to such generalizations socially, as well.

While it turns out that the BLM movement very much DOES represent a specific sub-set of African-Americans, it is also a sub-set that has been grossly overlooked by Americans who’ve too often subsumed them into the larger black community, which is highly unfortunate, because it gives such radicalized groups the perceived cover of representing larger “group grievances,” when they, in fact, DO NOT.

It’s similar to the mistaken way we view serial killers. When most people think of serial killers they reflexively think of the likes of John Wayne Gacey, Ted Bundy, the “BTK killer” (Dennis Rader), Ed Gien, the “Green River Killer” (Gary Ridgway), Jeffrey Dahmer, etc.

What do ALL those serial killers have in common?

They’re all white.

It turns out that the list of black serial killers is also very long. Including the likes of Matthew Emanuel Macon (Murdered and Raped 5 White Women in Lansing), Shelly Brooks (Murdered 7 prostitutes in Detroit Cass Corridor), Brian Ranard Davis (6 women known murdered), Paul Durousseau (Seven women), Mark Goudeau “The Baseline Killer” (Eight women and a man in 2005-2006), Coral Eugene Watts (11 women in Texas & 1 in Michigan)among many others.

In other words, many of our initial suppositions about the racialization of things is wrong.

The reason that’s important is that it takes away the focus on those dysfunctional people in every group and, by blaming an entire ethnic group, regular, average people from such groups are put on the defensive, which gives even further cover to the dysfunctional among us all.

That FYF911 or FukYoFlag group down in Texas is, without question, a vile hate group that has to be dealt with. From its verbiage and the most recent result, it’s very similar to the Zebra Killers in California a few decades ago. The Zebra Killings were made much harder to solve because of the false perception that that group (1) didn’t actually exist (an initial mistaken view), (2) the media’s fears that focusing on the obvious racial element in that group might inflame anti-black bigotry overall...again, subsuming a fringe, radicalized group into the larger whole. Ironically enough, racializing, or generalizing smaller subsets as representing the larger group makes it harder to discern the actual truth and more difficult to bring the violently dysfunctional to justice.

Let’s hope that we can learn from the past and NOT give Ms. “Sunshine” and her FYF911 group the latitude that the Zebra Killers got back in the 1970s. While FYF911 IS very much a “black group,” it very much DOES NOT represent much of black America.

The BLM Farce

Here's the problem I see with today’s “Black Lives Matter” anti-police agenda...ANYTHING less than complete and docile compliance with a Police Officer's directions during a stop constitutes "actively resisting arrest."

That has been taken far too lightly by the judicial system up to now. Given the present climate, the discretion of prosecutors to drop such charges must be eliminated and that charge must be elevated to a felony.

In the wake of the TWO autopsies and the DOJ’s investigation, there's virtually no remaining doubt that Mike Brown attacked Police Officer, Darren Wilson. ALL Officer Wilson did that day was fight for his life against a violent offender.

It appears that Christian Taylor (the football player shot in an Arlington, TX car dealership did the same. It turns out that, "In December, he took to Twitter to condemn racist policing. And a few weeks before he died, friends and family said, a religious awakening left him talking obsessively about social justice and his desire to be a black leader.

“He said MLK, he was a peaceful-type dude, but Malcolm X, he was getting the business done,” said his friend J’von Varra, 20, recalling a recent conversation with Taylor at a local park. “He said he felt like sometimes you have to be destructive to get what you want."...

“He said that on his break, God came to him and he cried and cried. It really changed his life,” said Smith, who had lived across the street from Taylor since the seventh grade and was his teammate on the Mansfield Summit High School football team.

“He said God came to him not only to get himself right, but to get us all on board. He wanted to save everybody.”

"Friends said Taylor cared passionately about social justice issues, an interest apparent in his Twitter feed. “Every time I see a squad car I think about all the lives lost...I’ve never felt protected,” he wrote on Dec. 11, one of several such tweets around that time."

Sad to say, but it seems that Christian Taylor became radicalized by a false BLM narrative. IF those stopped would simply comply with ALL police directives, there'd be far fewer such incidents AND more bad cops (they truly are few and far between) would be brought to justice.

This SHOULDN'T BE a black/white issue, because it ISN’T an ethnic issue, it's a scumbag/producer issue.

Yesterday (Friday, August 14^th, 2015) on Staten Island, a career thug opened fire on U.S. Marshalls serving a warrant, then shot an FDNY Lieutenant as that fire crew responded to a house fire at that location.

The authorities negotiated with this goon for hours, even brought his Mom up from another state, before they finally took him out with a sniper. His addled mother's response? "They brought me up here to witness my son's execution."

NO! All that's on her. She was brought there to talk that shitbird into surrendering SHE failed. SHE'S the reason (HER FAILURE) is the reason he wound up getting put down.

This isn't England where people are free to negotiate, even argue with police. "Docile compliance" with ALL police orders is mandated by law in the U.S.. The courts exist to adjudicate wrongful arrest and brutality complaints.

I have ZERO sympathy with those who mistakenly believe they have a right to question, challenge or confront police.

Cops are NOT social workers. They merely exist to bring suspected lawbreakers into the system. The courts avail us of the ability to question, challenge, confront...and where appropriate to sue over improper state/police practices.

Nothing tells the story like a “progressive success!” Since the Freddie Gray incident arrests are down by almost 50% and violent crime is on a record pace. With 45 Homicides in July became Baltimore’s deadliest month since 1972! (http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2015/07/31/july-is-baltimores-3rd-most-deadliest-month-in-history/). Baltimore residents live in fear of perpetual violence. The anti-police agenda won and the thugs have taken that city. The other residents live in abject terror.

Moreover, the decent residents of such areas DO NOT hate, or fear the police.

“Why didn’t the lamestream media report this? Because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

“Black people don’t all hate the police. They know that the police are necessary, and in fact, many of our family members and friends are police officers.

“But with Liberals, they want blacks to NOT respect the police.
