Mike Ditka
Curt Schilling
ESPN is no stranger to controversy, and like most major media outlets no stranger to poor judgment, mainly because the oligarchy at the top is so hopelessly out of touch with the people they serve, their "customers," as it were.
Less than a week after Mike Ditka ranted, "Obama is the worst president we've ever had," said the Pro Football Hall of Famer, adding that while he believes Obama is a nice enough guy, his leadership skills are "disgusting." If Election Day were tomorrow, he said, he'd vote for the tough-talking Trump over Clinton or Republican rivals such as Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich (http://www.sportingnews.com/…/4697125-espn-mike-ditka-barac…), ESPN removed him from its NFL flagship show, Sunday NFL Countdown.
The bad thing for ESPN is that it looks like Mike Ditka is being punished....for being honest, for saying what lots of other Americans apparently believe.
As I've said, what I've seen is Barack Obama delivering G W Bush's 3rd and 4th terms. Iraq and Afghanistan were fully prosecuted, we helped invade Libya, making sure Gaddafi was done away with, just after Gaddafi suggested OPEC refuse accepting U.S. dollars and switch to the gold-backed African Dinar. Gitmo is still open and all of the BIG bank bailouts were continued by President Obama, but opinions vary and many people are really down on Barack Obama right now....happens to most President after nearly 8 years.
At any rate, Mike Ditka isn't the ONLY ESPN host who is apparently out of step with the out-of-step suits, as Curt Schilling said of Hillary Clinton, "If I’m going to believe, and I don’t have any reason not to believe, that she gave classified information on hundreds if not thousands of emails on a public server after what happened to General Petraeus, she should be buried under a jail somewhere.” , this past Tuesday (3/8/16).
Again, those sentiments are neither all that unpopular, nor at all...untrue.
BUT ESPN has already suspended Schilling this past September over the tweet below;
AGAIN, the problem with punishing Schilling over this, is that it amounts to punishing someone for telling an “inconvenient truth.”
Those numbers are absolutely true.
Interestingly enough, the hyper-Leftist and politically goofy Mike Lupica has never been disciplined for his views....apparently because Left-wing views aren't seen as "offensive" in the front offices of ESPN.
ESPN has a problem....a problem with ITSELF!
