                  Sisa Abu Daooh - "Ideal Mother"

For 43 years this woman disguised herself as a man to be able to work and support her family in Egypt.

Sisa Abu Daooh has worked along side men in Egypt for the past 43 years to support her family and avoid being forced to beg for their basic sustenance.

Eventually her own daughter grew up, got Married, but her husband took ill and was left jobless. Sissa Abu continued working to support BOTH families! Today she is 64 and continues to work!

Sisa has said, "I preferred working in hard labor like lifting bricks and cement bags and cleaning shoes to begging in the streets in order to earn a living for myself and for my daughter and her children."

This year Egypt is honoring her as "the ideal mother."

Aside from what it says about the incredible restrictions of many of those Mideastern cultures, it says even more about the incredible dedication and perseverance of Sisa Abu Daooh.
