Can We Finally Get Rid of This Dope?....

Is it fair that a black Republican can’t play the race card, while black Liberals are freely encouraged to do just that?

Not at all.

When you embrace Republicanism, you embrace self-reliant Conservatism and Mike Steele has done just that.

But more and more the race card simply doesn’t carry the cache it once did...such is life in this post-Obama, post-racial America.

In the pre-Cambian era Kleptocrats like Kenneth Gibson and Sharpe James of Newark and Detroit’s Kwame Kilpatrick and Coleman Young could blame their foibles and all too often, outright thuggery on their being targeted because of their race, but blacks like Michael Steele, a man elected to head the RNC on the 6th Ballot, almost certainly BECAUSE of his race, simply has no such standing.

The Mike Steele’s of this world have no standing to speak up for the dispossessed. In fact, the Mike Steele’s of this world have been so privileged BY their race, for so long that they don’t even see who the truly dispossessed are today.

HINT: Take a look at the faces of those West Virginia Coal Miners. Those are the faces of Appalachian poverty, people with one chance out of a hideous, grinding poverty and that’s work in one of the most dangerous of America’s “death professions,” coal mining.

Yet Mike Steele still supports racial preferences based on the SAME “disparate impact” that caused the “mortgage meltdown” and the subsequent global credit crisis.

This whole Good Morning America flap should be the last straw for Mike Steele.

When asked on GMA if he thought he was being criticized unfairly because he's African-American, Steele replied;

“The honest answer is, Yes,” he said, adding that “Barack Obama has a slimmer margin. A lot of folks do. It's a different role for me to play and others to play and that's just the reality of it.”

That wasn’t merely a “bad move,” it was calloused idiocy, worthy of a Kleptocrat like a Kwame Fitzpatrick or a Sharpe James. In short, NOW is the time to jettison this dope before he does even more harm to the GOP.

Look, Steele, despite his racial beatification, was always a liability.

If it’s not already clear that the string of GOP victories post-Obama have NOTHING to do with Michael Steele and EVERYTHING to do with the rise of Conservatism via the tea Party Movement and that Steele is destined to embarrass the GOP on the national stage if given even half a chance, then maybe it’ll take that public pantsing to drive that point home!

Fact is, ANY party chairman whose national committee reimbursed a contributor to the tune of $2,000 for a night at a West Hollywood bondage-themed lesbian nightspot would be under much more pressure than Steele has YET to face.

Ironically and fittingly enough, Steele’s “throwing a bone to the Obama White House was returned with an anchor, as White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs presciently put it, “Michael Steele's problem isn't the race card - it's the credit card.”

Indeed, it is and fair or not, "the race card," belongs solely to the Liberal side.

Can we just finally get this guy out of here?!
