Nobel Committee: "If You're Not With Us, You're Against US"....

One of the ironies of the surprise announcement of Barack Obama getting the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, the third Liberal Democrat from America to be so honored in recent years (Jimmy Carter and Al Gore preceded him) is that as much as the European Left reviled the Bush administration's "If you're not with us, you're against us," THAT'S exactly the same message the Nobel Prize Committee consistently sends America...and THIS is just the latest example!

They do that by rewarding those that embrace Euro-Liberalism's appeasement, while ignoring the many successes of those who made life better for others by taking the exact opposite path.

Funny stuff.

When the Bush administration tells Europe, "If you're not with us, you're against us," that's bad, but when the Nobel Committee pretty much tells America the same thing, that's just fine!

  1. The Norwegians have been laboring for some time now to undercut and dilute the meaning of the Nobel, with awards to crooks like Kofi Annon, terrorists like Yassir Arafat, and staggeringly stupid American pols like Jimmy Carter and AlGore.

This was the final straw that put the Nobel in the trashcan of irrelevance.

  2. The Nobel Peace Prize has always seemed a dubious honor.

It probably should be called "the Neville Chamberlain award," as it generally goes to appeasers of all stripes.

The Norwegians, like most in the West have been too fat, too dumb abd too happy for far too long...the REAL wake-up call is coming.
