Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,
This is how I'll always remember Paul Newman....I may not have liked his politics (mostly I didn't) BUT he was a great actor and seemingly a great guy as well. "Ya crazy! The fall'll probably kill ya!" Yeah, it gets us all at some point.
As I said, I didn't like his politics all that much, but to his credit, he never seemed at all malicious about things and he wasn't nearly as rabid as the likes of Tim Robbins and Sean Penn, though I know that's not saying a lot.
Sad to say, there are too fewe Gary Sinise's, Denzel Washington's and Tom Selleck's around.
Hmmmmm. Never was a big fan of Paul Newman but it is kinda sad that he's gone. At least he lived a long, productive life. RIP, Mr. Newman.
ReplyDeleteThat may be a generational thing Seane-Anna.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably somewhat older than you are.
