Boy, That was QUICK!...OR...Damn Cindy, we Hardly Missed You!!!

.

.
.
.
.
Cindy Sheehan former hippie and modern-day professional protestor, has threatened to run for Nancy Pelosi's Congressional seat UNLESS Speaker Pelosi introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush within the next two weeks.
.
(WoW! If THAT doesn't light a fire under Pelosi, I guess nothing will.)
.
Sheehan, who turns fifty tomorrow (Tuesday, July 10th) and lives in a Sacramento suburb, OUTSIDE of Pelosi's District, has said she'll run against Pelosi as an Independent if Pelosi doesn't seek to Impeach Bush by July 23rd. That's the date that Sheehan and her supporters are set to arrive in Washington after a 13 day caravan and walking tour, starting next week from the group's Crawford, TX site.
.
(I sure hope to gawd they have shower facilities on that 13 day caravan.)
.
Sheehan said "Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership. We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."
.
(Yes, Cindy, I'd be clear in separating (Liberal) "Democrats" from "Americans" too.)
.
Of course Ms. Sheehan seems to be overlooking a vital factor in American politics - If you're to the Left of Nancy Pelosi, you have a better chance of winning in Beijing, than anywhere within the old U.S. of A.

  1. If nothing else, this should put to an end the sappy sympathy extended by all too many people who claim that this haridan is merely a puppet for the radical left - a claim I have disputed for years.

Sheehan is a woman who doesn't know that her 15 minutes expired some time ago. Her petulant mewlings recently after she was hit by her own people turned out to be, as I predicted, merely the whining of the intellectually bereft individual that she has always been.

What the left doesn't realize is you don't give a dolt like Cindy fame, take it away, and expect her to accept her dismissal meekly.

    She likes the action.

The left created her. Let them deal with her.

  2. Oh, I don't know about this ending any of that sappy sympathy Mal. It's hard, if not downright impossible to underestimate the public's naivete or general sappiness.

I agree that Sheehan has been, for the most part, a "useful idiot" for more nefarious people like Michael Moore and George Soros. And you're also right that without their financial backing she probably doesn't have much of chance winning an election...even at a local commune.

  3. The point is this, my friend, SHE is calling her shots now as her entourage has diminished dramatically. She never was the hopeless dupe that well-meaning but hopelessly sympathetic conservatives tried to paint her.

The haridan has always had a large hand to play in her exploitation and this is merely the latest example.

  4. No question that "St Cindy," a former hippie, was "more than a hapless dupe," BUT her initial actions were almost all directed by more media savvy people than herself.

When she speaks she is painfully naive, almost completely ignorant about basic economics, even basic morality.

She's one of those pathetic creatures dumb enough to believe that, "zzzif we just stopped fighting, then our enemies would see our good intentions for what they are and they'd stop too." THAT alone, makes her an idiot. A "tragic idiot" (it's tragic that she lost her son) but lots of good-hearted and well-meaning people are also "idiots."

That big hug for Chavez proved how hopelessly dumb she really is.

I know she's calling her own shots now, BUT that'exactly why she's doomed.

Pelosi may be a machine politician, but in ANY debate, in ANY forum, Pelsoi would humiliate Sheehan in a head-to-head contest.

Sheehan has served her purpose for Moore and Soros. She's too naive and too dumb to be electable, so she's really of no further use to them.

As you noted, she's the only one who seems to have failed to realize that "her fifteen minutes expired some time ago."

  5. I'm actually glad to see her back on the scene. Her very presence is a testimony to the bankruptcy of the left's idea bank, and a poignant illustration of the depths to which BDS has brought them.

She reminds me of a sock puppet I used to have. Welcome back, Cindy.

I think that sums it up nicely Mick.

A Sheehan vs Pelosi run would be whimsical....perhaps the greatest cat-fight of all time!

    You know what's odd?

In a period of rather stellar economic indicators (low inflation, low unemployment, low interest rates, rising personal income, a rollicking Dow, etc) and a successful domestic WoT (not a single attack on US soil in nearly six years) and two rogue governments deposed (the Afghan Taliban regime & Iraq's Saddam), Americans are being convinced that "the sky is falling down," that we are "living through a disaster," when in fact it's Germany & France who've changed course and ran FROM their non-interventionist, Islamo-friendly governments, in favor of two far mor pro-American leaders (Merckel and Sarkozy respectively).

The far Left, with lots of help from a complicit MSM has succeeded in creating the illusion of this "Bizarro-World," we're all witnessing on our TVs.

  7. Amen, brother.

And you can throw in the fact that Kim Jung-il has shut down the Pyongyang reactor in advance of UN inspections (can anyone say 'six-way talks are the bomb'?), and The Surge is working!

No wonder Jim Webb almost had a coronary on Meet the Press yesterday, and Harry Reid is rolling in the mattresses for an overnighter. Methinks some of those boys and girls might be wetting their beds tomorrow night.
