Multiculturalism's Discontents

Recently we've seen the abject failure of some critical aspects of multiculturalism in stark relief.

In Savannah GA., black Democrats barred the "white media" from a political meeting (https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/mar/28/black-press-only-white-reporters-not-allowed-savan/).

I have no issue with either of those things. I just expect the SAME kind of self pride and solidarity among whites. It's an important aspect of Nationalism - a certain degree of ethnic pride.

Loving one's own does not and should not be mistaken for, nor used as an excuse for the hatred of others. Yes, dumb people do. They're also a hazard behind the wheel, or when using power tools.

Just last week, Michelle Obama aide (Tina Tchen) and allegedly some Kamala Harris staffers were reported to have reached out to Kim Foxx to "fix" the Jussie Smollett case...proving what I've said for decades, "Multiculturalism DOESN'T work."

NONE of these is a response to any kind of a "white agenda." There has actually been a decrease in ethnic conflicts over the past two years. There has been no widespread, or mainstream ethnic pride among whites. There has been an absurd, media-driven "white guilt."

There has been little, to no "white agenda" among ANY whites for decades, absolutely NONE in Academia, the Media, in Corporate settings, nor in government, BUT every other ethnic group clings, not only to race, but racial exclusion and "sticking together," even excluding "others."

I've always opposed the white Leftist/"Progressive" support for racial preference and treating others as though ethnicity is a handicap. Not only are there high and low achievers among every ethnic/racial group, the most underfunded schools in America are rural, predominantly white schools, putting the lie to the deliberate mal-education of American blacks.

I think that's why so many Progressive whites, from Jason Kessler to Mike Enoch, to Richard Spencer, have so easily flipped FROM being Progressives to comfortably becoming white supremacists. A dangerous trend, to be sure.

The sad truth is that the white "Progressive" agenda hasn't been post-racial (getting past race/ethnicity), nor anti-racism...it's been, primarily and without question, anti white.

Enigmas....

A friend and really good fireman, Joe Tierney sent this to me...and it rings true, in so many ways;

(1) Isn't it weird that in America our flag and our culture offend so many people...but our benefits don't?

(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?

(3) Only in America are legal citizens opposed to border trespassing/"ILLEGAL immigration" labeled "racists" and "Nazis," but  illegal aliens are called "Dreamers."

(4) Liberals say, "If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it's worth it."  Well then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn't that be worth it, too?

(5) I can't quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country but consider it a punishment to be sent back there.

(6) The Constitution: It doesn't need to be rewritten;  it needs to be REREAD!

( 7) William F. Buckley said: "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view, then are shocked and offended to discover there ARE other points of view."

(8) Joseph Sobran said: "The word 'Need' now means wanting someone else's money. The word 'Greed' now means wanting to keep your own, and the word 'Compassion' is when a politician arranges the transfer."

(9) Florida has had 119 hurricanes since 1850, but some people still insist the last one was due to climate change.

You can't fix stupid, no matter how much duct tape you use

Edward Bernays

Edward Louis Bernays was the nephew of Sigmund Freud and "father of Public Relations," as well as the Father of Propaganda. His work would be advanced and perfected by the likes of Joseph Goebbels. It would be upon his works the foundation for modern psychological warfare would be forged.

"In Bernays’ 1928 book, titled "Propaganda," he argued that the manipulation of public opinion was vital for the proper functioning of modern civilization:

"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government, which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind. "

According to author, Sherwood Kent, "Indeed, the JFK assassination and its aftermath was nothing if not a psychological warfare campaign that itself incorporated powerful propaganda (repeat after me: lone gunman, lone gunman, lone gunman). The scientific, psychological manipulation of the masses — precisely what the killing of JFK was designed to accomplish, at least in part."

Burney's work fits the mold of what Kent describes as "psychological warfare":

"...It was not until 1915 that governments first systematically deployed the entire range of modern media to rouse their populations to fanatical assent. Here was an extraordinary state accomplishment: mass enthusiasm at the prospect of a global brawl that otherwise would mystify those very masses, and that shattered most of those who actually took part in it. The Anglo-American drive to demonize “the Hun,” and to cast the war as a transcendent clash between Atlantic “civilization” and Prussian “barbarism,” made so powerful an impression on so many that the worlds of government and business were forever changed. Now “public opinion” stood out as a force that must be managed, and not through clever guesswork but by experts trained to do that all-important job. Thus the war improved the status of those working in the fields of public suasion." (Edward Bernays, from "Propaganda")

One of the most amazing synchronicities of 11/22/1963 was the simultaneous demise of John F. Kennedy, C.S. Lewis and Aldous Huxley — three enormously popular international public figures whose deaths all took place on the SAME exact day (11/22/1963), which just happened to be the birthday of Edward Louis Bernays, born on November 22, 1891."

"Coincidences" like that are, at the very least...interesting.

The phrase "The New World Order," one that was always associated with some form of global government. It was first used in modern times by Woodrow Wilson in touting the League of Nations, which had a much more robust global authority than the UN.

The Latin term on our currency, Novus Ordem Seclurem DOES NOT translate to "New World Order," but, instead, "A New Order for the Ages," referring to a new, NON Monarchical form of government, the Constitutional Republic.

After Wilson, Hitler would also use the phrase, in promoting a Nazi dominated globe. Later, both Mikhail Gorbachev and George Bush Sr. Would both use that phrase.

George H.W. Bush would used it, most notably in his "New World Order Speech" delivered on 9/11/1990.

Many speculate that the "New World Order" refers to some nebulous, future global government. Others have argued that the start of the "New World Order" began in 11/22/1963, ushering in America as a universalist nation, with the deliberate changing of it's original demographics by abandoning its longstanding immigration policies in 1965 and its Intelligence Communities, media and Academia embracing what is often referred to as "Anglo-American Globalism/One Worldism."

At any rate, November 22nd,1963 was a critical date in the creation of the world we all live in now. That day was simultaneously the end of traditional America and the start of the Globalist/One World "New World Order."

The Roots of the Disconnect Between the American PEOPLE and Our Political-Media Class

.
.
John Brennan, former CIA Director, is proof of how disconnected the "American" political-media class is from the American people.

In 1976 he claims to have voted for Gus Hall of the Communist Party USA for President.
Do you know who voted for Gus Hall?

NO decent American. In 1976, there was a deep and bitter enmity between those two nations and those competing ideologies (Capitalism/Corporatism and Marxism/Collectivism).

In Police, Fire and Construction jobs across this country in those days, a good way to get killed would be admitting you supported Gus Hall.

The Communist Party USA wasn't merely Marxist, but Stalinist! These guys were virtual Nazis.

John Brennan proclaims he admitted that in a CIA interview, which is curious, in and if itself (perhaps he was more likely recruited?)...and accepted into that organization.

Clapper, Brennan, Strzok, Page, McCabe & Co. are a big part of what's wrong with America's political-media class today.

Trump is not in the vanguard of this spreading Nationalism. It began with the Pan Asian movement, then the return to traditional (Sharia-based) Islam in the Arab-Muslim world. The Muslim migrant invasion of Europe generated the Euro Nationalism that has swept that continent today.

Trump and Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro are relative late comers to the trend.

The world has soundly rejected "Anglo-American Globalism," and rightly so.

WWII wasn't a fight against Nationalism, instead, it was Nationalist England, France and the U.S. fighting Imperialist Germany and Japan.

Stalin's USSR NEVER joined the Allies. That nation only declared war on Japan two days AFTER the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima (August 6th). The USSR declared war on Japan on August 8th to claim Manchuria from Japan. (https://www-history-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.history.com/.amp/this-day-in-history/soviets-declare-war-on-japan-invade-manchuria?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE%3D#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.history.com%2Fthis-day-in-history%2Fsoviets-declare-war-on-japan-invade-manchuria). The 2nd atomic bomb was dropped on August 9th on Nagasaki.

Right after WWII ended, the West (England, France, the USA, etc) entered a long "Cold War" with the imperialist USSR.

THAT'S who John Brennan supported. Those Soviet ghouls.

The West's enemy was Imperialism (global domination and enforced conformity), NOT Nationalism, the respect for individual nations, national sovereignty, the natural diversity of mankind in language, culture, ethnicities, etc.

The Anglo-American Globalism pushed by our political-media class IS Imperialism.

Sadly, THAT'S what America's Left now stubbornly supports.

Dalai and Me...

The Dalai Lama
.
.
I VERY MUCH like the Dalai Lama.

He's also a very good ping pong player (not nearly as good as me), but a spirited player.

AND...he's probably one of the most spiritual people on earth. Hmmmm, me too, I think.
Aside sharing the belief that Europe MUST REMAIN European, he also believes that the animating energy in all of us is part of a greater collective ("Cosmic Consciousness," "Collective Unconscious," "Universal Mind" etc.), which is what man th religions mean by GOD.

In that view, in a very real sense, we are all connected...part of the same energy source inhabiting separate and different vehicles, or bodies.

I kind of share that view...although, from there, Dalai and I diverge. See, he sees that as unifying, in the sense that we must eventually all come to realize that and accept our universal connectedness, if we're ever going to grow and truly evolve to a higher moral, spiritual and intellectual path.

Hmmmm...now I say, in effect, "F*ck all that sh*t, we ARE individuals, so long as we're wrapped in these separate skins. It's both natural and good that we should divide ourselves up and engage in CV instant conflict. We're human...after all.

Now, Dalai knows me. He knows the things I've done...many of which, early on were...despicable, at best. He believes that my interpretation of that universal truth is what allows me to live with myself...an interesting proposition.

HOWEVER, to that, I'd retort, it MIGHT BE...IF I were somehow inclined to harbor any such things as guilt and regret, which I do not, nor ever have.

That said, I have thought much about Dalai's view of all our spiritual connectedness and can see where it reconciles well with Jesus' view, Buddha's view, even the gnostic view and I think in there is the road to enlightenment...or at least an overgrown path to becoming a better person.

It seems that even if we are all connected to the same energy source, the only way any of us can improve anything is by looking within to improve ourselves...the one person we control.

For me, the greatest thing Jesus said was, "Before you would take the splinter out of your neighbor's eye, first take the mote/plank from out your own," in other words, to fix the world...first, fix yourself.
I think that at least for me, the best I can try for is attempting to be a little better person today than I was yesterday

I Come From an Earlier Era...

Eddie "Rochester" Anderson
.
.
I come from an earlier era, a very different America...a very different world.

In that regard, I am truly a time traveler, as I've traversed a few generations, now.
Like any time traveler, I can offer first hand observations of different eras. In many ways, the earliest era of the America I knew, from 1954 to about 1964, was, in some ways, a much better place and in some ways a worse one.

In that period of my life (childhood) dozens of commercial trucks ran up and down most blocks; dry cleaners, the lawn mower repair and blade sharpener truck, bakery trucks, grocery delivery trucks, ice cream trucks, along with Municipal garbage trucks, street sweepers, Fire apparatus and, of course, the U.S. Postal Service's mail carriers walked the streets back then with their mail bags slung over their shoulders.

All those commercial vehicles were a testament to the lack of government over-regulation.

The economy here was buoyed by being one of the last ones standing after WWII, but that was somewhat balanced out by the massive expenditures of the Marshall Plan.

Of course, the tax system was different, depending overwhelmingly on Corporate taxes and tariffs on foreign goods, as the Dependency Deduction shielded most people's income from the income tax. Since Corporate Income taxes and Tariffs amount to hidden sales taxes, goods and services were more expensive relative to incomes, so most people lived more frugal, basic...what today we'd call "poorer" lives, but our culture was richer.

Comedy was still dominated by old vaudevillians like George Burns and Gracie Allen, Abbott and Costello, the 3 Stooges, Jack Benny and Eddie "Rochester" Anderson and Groucho Marx, who remained the king of American comedy, through the 1960s.

Today we judge that earlier, politically incorrect humor by the narrower standards of our current day. Jack Benny's long time partner, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson delivered a wide eyed country styled, stereotypical black character.(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_%22Rochester%22_Anderson)

The fact was, that at the time, many blacks WERE moving from the rural South to Northern cities and that naivete was very common, just as the "hillbilly" ways of Buddy Epson's "Jed Clampett" character was not atypical of many of the suddenly wealthy Texas "Oil men" of the period. Men who went from eaking out a living on a small ranch, or farm to having great wealth, seemingly overnight.

There were still reruns of the old radio show, turned 1950s TV hit, "Amos and Andy."
It's true that the original radio broadcast was created by two white performers (Freeman Gosden and Charles Correl), but it's not true that it was a show that mocked American blacks.

Amos Jones and Andy Brown were two devoted family men, who came to Chicago from the rural South, in search of a better life. They started a business, "the Fresh Air Taxi Company." Their foil was another black character, George "Kingfish" Brown, who was always trying to scam the pair with an assortment of "get rich quick" schemes.

Though the accents were Southern, rural and stereotypical, the characters were all honest, hardworking, family oriented and strivers.

The TV show became a hit in 1951 and 1952, but was felled by an NAACP boycott in 1953, that led to its cancellation. (https://youtu.be/8Ka6u2WA_zU)

Today, most people mistakenly believe that show was a "racist mockery," when, in fact, no other show portrayed black Americans in such an upwardly mobile, wholesome light until the "Cosby Show," some three decades later!

One of the grave injustices of the boycott and cancellation was that some great actors, like Spencer Williams (Andy), Tim Moore (Kingfish), Ernestine Wade (Sapphire Stevens) and Alvin Childress (Amos) never got their due.

A cursory look back to that era shows a starkly different America. All our TV shows depicted honest, hard working families, with uplifting themes.

Children's shows were simpler too, "Captain Kangaroo" and "Andy's Gang" offered childish themes and pure, wholesome entertainment. Later "Sesame Street" and "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" taught basic values and aided early learning.

Some may call that a "simpler time." People certainly didn't take themselves very seriously back then and we WERE, in many ways, a different country.

The seminal event that marked the end of that era and that original  or traditional America was the JFK assassination on November 22nd, 1963.

Michael Hoffman, author of "Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare" (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0970378416/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_26pMCbRFA9NKY), wrote about the Kennedy assassination, "The killers were not caught, the Warren Commission was a whitewash. There was a sense that the men who ordered the assassination were grinning somewhere over cocktails, and out of this, a nearly-psychedelic wonder seized the American population, an awesome shiver before the realization that whoever could kill a President of the United States in broad daylight and get away with it, could get away with anything."

Sherwood Kent, author of "Most Dangerous: A True Story" (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1634240405/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zeqMCbXE9ZM1E), noted the many indicators of the social transformation in the wake of that public execution, "Within a year, Americans had largely switched from softer-toned, naturally-colored cotton clothing to garish-colored artificial polyesters. Popular music became louder, faster and more cacophonous. Drugs appeared for the first time outside the Bohemian subculture and ghettos, in the mainstream. Extremes of every kind came into fashion. Revolutions in cognition and behavior were on the horizon, from the Beatles to Charles Manson, from “Free Love” to LSD."

Today, we swim in an ocean of manufactured misinformation. Our "news" is mostly commentary and events, both foreign and domestic are filtered, edited, often even fictionalized in whole, or in part.

It's hard to consider any sources, "reliable," but regardless, we're all still influenced by this ocean of manufactured data we all swim in.

It wasn't always like this...
